Please let me know how good is MDI for FPM? I had applied to IIML and MDI; got rejected by IIML but was able to convert MDI. I have a very good UGC- JRF score. I know FPM at MDI is 13 years old but is it really good? I am an MBA with good academic record and have 5 years of experience (currently working in an IT company). Should I give this a miss and try for IIMs next year?

I have always been a good student but couldn't make it to IIT..Got AIR 8366 in AIEEE, didn't fill many colleges in 1st counselling, gambled on 2nd counselling to get into IIIT Allahabad..Missed IIIT, but got NIT Allahabad in 2nd, only to find out that I would get Bio-Tech at that rank...My heart didn't allow me to enroll into Bio-Tech..So, as stupid as it could get, I enrolled in State Technical university...At the end of 4 years, got placed in IT like everyone else..Wrote CAT 2012 with 2 months prep, without any coaching or Test Series...secured 98.05 %....Calls from SPJain, NITIE, new IIMs, MDI but converts from nowhere..All my friends and relatives over-rate me(at least I think so) that you can make it big, you deserve much more..
I am deciding to give CAT another shot..

I want to join Indian automobile industry in marketing field...Is there a possibility of an IT guy fitting into marketing in non IT companies? In every interview, I said this that I want to do my MBA to join auto industry...The interviews went well but no insti selected me..Still not sure why...Is there any negative impact on the interviewers if the interviewee says that he wants to switch domain??

Can I make it next year with the same motive? Is auto industry that bad in compensation as ppl say?? I want to achieve 100% of my potential as I am tired now of hearing that I have potential to make it big..And I don't want to repeat the mistakes at the time of choosing grad colg..

Went through their website, however could not see much details related to management in Ph.D. Also, no particular link for existing areas of research.. The brand-name is good but not sure of the management stream of BITS.. Would like to know comments and thoughts from you all.. Thanks

How frequently do IIMs revises their stipends as I have seen some articles stating that IIM C used to pay just Rs 10,000 as stipend during 2008-2009.
