ctc is always mentioned as 100 percent payout of your variable and performance incentive, and in offer letter too.. hope that will help you in future.. IT companies work like this only.. thanx anyways
Seriously man.. you'r just another noob.
Different companies offering same CTC's can result in huge variations in the "in hand component" or vice versa.
It depends on the company what it decides to put under CTC, whether to include or not include the variable, incentives under it.
A company offered 6.5 LPA to a DSM student and he gets 50k in hand.
Another company offered 8 LPA but also gives 50k as the in hand component.
Both are IT companies as well, I can also PM you the company names if you want me to
Just to add one more thing the you mentioned in one of your previous comments "
incomplete information can be dangerous". Look it just got you PAWNED.
Hope it helps you in future

highest package 9.3, that is only one guy.. CSC giving only 3.35 i.e too less than what an engineer gets..
not joining..
You cant read properly (the highest is 9.5 in the reports released so far), you have incomplete and incorrect information about placements and you're arrogant about getting into xyz b-school(i wont name it here). I seriously pity you, not because of the b-school

but due to you sheer ignorance about what goes on behind the closed doors of some private b-schools.
We're proud of the fact that we're providing you with figures in such detail, even revealing the individual packages offered by the company. Is it provided by the other b-school you converted ?
I don't want to start a debate on this but it was just to tell you that in future Refrain from posting about things you've got no idea about.
PS: This post isn't aimed at any particular B-School.
