pls read between the lines before going through the ranking. it clearly says the following
"Before you read and interpret the rankings, heres something you need to keep in mind: this is a ranking of Indias Most Preferred B-schools. NOT OF THE BEST B-SCHOOLS"

To add more, this ranking is perception based. B schools in metros and those that have a bigger batch strength do have an edge, since its based on polling.

hi soni , chill . . whatever crack pots has mentioned are not valid points and those have already been answered in the previous page by one of my seniors. . now coming to your questions, around 95 percentile wud be a safe bet if u r in general category, for gd and p.i .
2)your percentile in cat does not have any relation to the specialisation that you ' ll take , its based on your interest and the score you would have at the end of 1st year.
3) last yr i was asked a few questions on finance, but those were also general in nature only,
ex: rbi governor, role of rbi , dollar value , inflation, hope i ve given you some idea

@sathish , its 20% of the batch , which comes to about 24 seats

@praneev last year 1200 calls were given for GDPI . so the ratio is 1:10

holiday???? If the batch is lucky , you might get 1 day holiday in a week . Since visiting faculty/guest lectures can be arranged comfortably only on weekends , cant expect it to be a holiday. timing is from morning 8.30a.m to 7.20p.m . depending on the timetable , there might be 1 or 2 free periods in a day.

dont worry SJ, If you can convince the panel members in the interview , then it would not be a major problem.

What could be the expected cut off for the batch of 2012-2014?
Good to see that placements have started.What are the figures please tell us..
what abt summer placments?what are the banks coming? heard that BIM is famous for banks?so what are the banks coming for placements? are those biggies like JPMC,CITIBANK coming to recruit?

As mentioned earlier, we will let you know about the placements as earlier as possible. Regarding the cut offs , though it has been varying between 90-94 in the past 3 years, according to me, 95+ would be a safe score.

p.s : its jus my personal view, and not official , they are bound to vary.

The placement season has just begun , it starts from today. The process is going on now. Many have come, many have accepted to come and the talks are going on with many . hence i think it would be too early to disclose anything about the placements. however we will try our best to convey the info as early as possible.
