We at SJMSOM would like to wish you luck for this all important phase in the realisation of your career goals.

Through this thread we would be attempting to resolve the numerous queries you may have regarding SJMSOM, JMET and MBA at the IITs thus providing a clearer picture which would help you decide on the future course of action.

1. do we have to do any assignments before joining the institute?
2. Is the laptop included in the fees paid to the institute?

2) Yes. The laptop is included in the fees.

The guy who called you happens to be Kunal, the student's admission co-ordinator.
He's currently in Gurgaon for his summers, thats why the Gurgaon number.
The call was just to get a confirmation. No need to call back on the number if you haven't received the call.

Can anyone tell me the process of withdrawing admission???What is the last date to do so and whom to contact???How much will be deducted from first term fees??

Drop a mail conveying your withdrawal from the program to dracad@iitb.ac.in
Mark a CC to pdutta@iitb.ac.in and admissions@som.iitb.ac.in
Fees would be refunded after a deduction of Rs 1000/-
The refund process would take between 8 - 10 weeks.

The registration would take place on 15th July. All admitted candidates are supposed to be on campus by 15 July 2010.
In case candidates arrive a day or two in advance, accomodation would be provided at the hostels.
Accomodation for parents would not be provided.

Detailed instructions would be emailed in the coming days.

Hi Sagaran,
When is the online payment going to be open? It was supposed to be opened on 4th.

Due to some unforeseen cirumstances, the entire IIT Bombay network is down since yesterday.
The online payment portal would be activated as soon as the network issues are resolved.

Yes, you would have to submit a provisional degree certificate

what can i do to avoid this deadline of 30th september..

In genuine cases, the deadline would be relaxed.
