The GD is just a chilled out exercise and evaluates your presence of mind and team spirit. No worries at all.
The PI is also an evaluation of whether u are suited for the course and all they check is your interest in the course you are applying for.

had my gd / pi today, 19th at 11:30 in the morning, however all we participants had reached before time and the process started off smoothly. the process was carried off very smoothly. I knw there aren't any more waiting for me to share my experience of the day since it was the last day of the process but i do want to congratulate the team at SIOM for making the process contain less anxiety and more exitement. The seniors were helpful and always available for any and every sort of doubts that we had. Specially, Awhan sir(if i spelt ur name correctly ) and arunima Ma'am and many others (didn't catch their names) were very helpful and neutralised watever anxiety we had. Thank you to the team at SIOM. Great Job! :cheers:

I gave my GD/PI yesterday. was in the 12.30 time slot..
It got over by 4 pm or so.

Regarding GE/PI:

Group exercise entails an activity or a task a group has to perform. The activity is designed in such a way that it allows for assessment of aspirants in areas like team playing, innovative problems solving, creativity, Emotional intelligence and affable personality.
Last year there were simple tasks to be completed within a specified time frame. While the tasks itself are not difficult we need to bear in mind that we are trying to accomplish it with a group of strangers. Here, the process is as important as the final result. This was preceded by a Psychometric test which is used by the panels for the PI.
Last year, the GE/PI for MMC was in the form of a written test, followed by your PI. The written test comprised of three questions: 1 on current affairs, 1 on photographic analysis and writing, and 1 on writing skills. This was preceded by a Psychometric test which is used by the panels for the PI to help you choose your prospective specialization better. The PI is an interview with a panel of 2/3 members, who will just try to assess your potential for joining the institute.

Kindly throw some light on the GD Pi exercise for MBA or was that what you explained in the second para.
Also, how long will it take the ones on the afternoon session to get free in case one would like to book the tickets for the same day
