Welcome to all....:After 2 months of complete silence, we are back from our summer internship/holidays;)...and here profs were ready to gun us down with 'n' no. of projects and assignments(actually i don't count, it hurts..:shock:). With time SIMSR moved on with 2010-12 batch left to make their mark in the corporate world:cheers: and many new faces (2012-14) joined to be a part of Life@ SIMSR...Hoping some ice breaking session soon..For us next 1 year will be action packed with new addition of placement season...Hoping for the best...Keep writing, keep watching this space for more updates about Life@ SIMSR..

What was the waitlist movement after first round of counselling last year for pgdm and pgdm.ib?? I am waitlisted 141 for pgdm and 90 for pgdm.ib ..should i come to mumbai on 8/9 or should i wait for next round???

I am selected for PGDM IB course and I am also waitlisted 43 for PGDM course. I dont want to take up PGDM IB course as I am not interested in the same. If i dont pay the fees for PGDM IB course now, will I be able to make my claim the PGDM course as a waitlisted candidate by being present at Somaiya seminar hall on the 8th? Should I inform the college authorities by an email that I would not be taking up PDGM IB course but i would be present on 8th in the college premises for the PGDM course?I dont want my money to be stuck in the PGDM course till 8th May as i am not willing to take it up. Also, what are the chances that i will get admission for PGDM on 8th itself? Please reply

Just come to campus on 8th with required documents and DD. You have very good chance to convert for PGDM on 8th.

I am already in the notice period and coming to mumbai twice (in case waitlist doesnt move enough on 8/9 may) is quite difficult for me thats why i wish to know whether waitlist movement will be enough to be present on 1st counselling session??

As i am currently working in jamshedpur serving my notice period it is very difficult for me to take a leave and attend the counselling round. Moreover the original certificates are also with me. Seniors is it okay if my gaurdians attend the counselling round with the attested copy of certificates as i dont find it safe to courier my valuable original certificates?

Yeah you can send you guardian also with authority letter. But they need to check original documents. You have to take that much risk.

I have another question as wel , If at all .....i convert it on may 9 th and pay the fee , and for some reason if i want to withdraw later , can i do that ? i mean , will i get the refund ???

Yeah, you can withdraw later. You will be refunded the submitted fee after deducting Rs.1000/- as per AICTE rules if you withdraw before scheduled start of the session.

I got waitlisted for Ib and my WL no is 70 . Last year trend and the current discussion makes it clear that i have decent chances of converting it .

If i dont convert it on may 9th , by when can i xpect the final result . Because the coursework starts in june , and i have a 2 month notice period , so i am confused .

You may convert it on 9th. If not then you will be called around 15th May. So, take decision accordingly.
