Classes would begin in mid june...There would be a 14 day prep course in the begining...The seniors would reach campus a coupla days after u guys reach.

Enjoy your vacations/last days at work....Too early to bother abt classes rite now.

The classes normally begin in the third week of June....For us it began on 13th June....This time it might be earlier by a week or so....mind it, might be....

And haan all of you who have converted or those waitlisted are invited to join the orkut community for Batch 2008-10....We shall be available over there for answering your queries in detail....

For those who couldn't convert, don't loose heart....Life is much bigger than its many triumphs and ocassional defeats....XL was just one of the many ways to reach ur dreams....

Please take the pains of looking through the earlier posts. Helps in avoiding unnecessary repetition. The session began on 13th June last year. It may be advanced by a week this year....(mind it...may be)

20-24 months is the usual cut-off for laterals, but then again depends on the company.

Normally the dates would depend on XL's internal procedures and are independent of IIM results....Last year XL asked for the first installment by 15th April....People in the w/l also have to pay up that amount....

Those who are offered a final seat are given a deadline before which they can withdraw their candidature (The installment amount will be refunded less 10000 bucks). For those who are not offered a final seat, the whole amount will be refunded. If you miss out on the deadlines for withdrawl then there are additional deductions.

The details would be clearly mentioned in your offer letters (which will be reaching you in a weeks time)

Waitlist 47 in BM Didn't apply for PMIR..

Seniors till where were teh waitlists cleared last year..

Last year it cleared till 44...but things may be a lil diff this time.......so u may keep your hopes alive...

as expected, i was rejected in my preferred BM course , but waitlisted at 16 for PM & IR, :eh:

Seniors, will I make the cut....

PMIR list normally clears till 25-30...So, going by past trends you should make the cut, comfortably

Recovering fast....Will be back in another coupla days.....once all the projects and submissions are over.........

when we go thru the last year thread, it feels like you r in that place facing the excitement and living the wait. for 4-5 days this process of wait n usless bickering continued on that thread, but by God that bickering ws also so sweet and when results came it was Jannat. Hope to feel that Jannat as our own experience this year. and the best get selected for the best Institute:)!

I'll tell ya puys what I did last year....Had six interviews within a week -

8th Mar - IIM I (Bangalore)
10th Mar - FMS (FT + MS) (Delhi)
12th Mar - XLRI BM (Chennai)
13th Mar - MDI (Bangalore)
14th Mar - NITIE (Mumbai)
I then took a 15 day long vacations........Back in office on 28th...XLRI results came out...n I resigned the very next day........Served the notice period gaming and partying and wondering which college to join....And then joined XL on 13th June 2007.....:snipersm:.....

Hope it turns out to be the same for all of you..... ....

PS - Life changed after 13th though....More on that after the results come out.....
