Hello Seniors,

A nice thread to help we budding/aspiring aspirants. My answers are below and i desperately want some advice on my career:

Do you have a liking for number crunching? Not much
Do you like to work in teams or u like to work alone? Dont have any problem with both
Do you find it easy to convince people to do what you want? Yes, friends says i can charm& convince people very easily.
Do you have a creative mind? Yes, i am very artistic.
Do you like travelling? Very Very much, By passion I am a explorer/traveler and a photographer.
Do you find it easy to talk to strangers? Its very easy for me to talk to a stranger and i make friends very easily, you can say i can make friend in the 1st meet.

My Background : BE(IT) 2007, work-exp of 3.5 yrs in banking sector. Involved in Development, client interaction, support etc. Have a Green belt in Six Sigma certification. Currently working in Oracle Apps.


P.S: I dont like much of Finance, btu i want a job where I get to travel a lot to diffrent places globally and meet new people.

There is a question which is troubling me a lot, I will be very happy if I can get any valuable feedback on it.

Let me describe my self, I am a software Engg with a work exp of 3.5 yrs in PL/SQL (Banking Domain) and currently I have switched a new company where I am learning and working on Oracle Apps (Finance: AP, PO). I am planning for my MBA next year from top 10 institute in India. Now here are my questions:

PS: I love traveling across the globe, so i would prefer a job which includes lots of traveling. I am good in Public Relation and good in communication.

1. How is the market demand for Oracle Apps?

2. Will Oracle Apps in Supply Chain Mangmnt will help me get a job which is more of client facing and traveling?

3. Should I go for MBA Operations or MBA Marketing. And will 2yrs MBA help me or 1 yr will do the needful to work as a Oracle Apps Functional?

At the end i would like to end up as an Oracle Apps Functional consultant but i am not sure which stream will help me.
