Been a long while since I came to this place.Cant forget those days when I kept refreshing the page to look for some input or the other before d exam.After 2 years of concentrated effort,it feels gud to be an IRMAN and to be in the field.Just few final minutes gyan folks.

1. By this time all wud know that cut off has seen huge jumps.Dont relax in exam that you hav attempted enough.Ur written score will help in final conversion.120 minutes,give it full.I relaxed for 5min in my first try and missd d bus by .5:banghead:.
   
2. Dont sit on any section for more time.U may miss out on 4th section.And start with ur confident section.It really helps.

It is mandatory to have original windows OS because the IT services will not be activated unless your laptop/PC has genuine OS installed.
For the same reason stated above, you cannot use linux, you can have it as a second OS though.
Office 2007 can be pirated, all of us use it, some of us even office 2010.
Laptop is mainly required for assignments (excel,ppt,word+internet), Ctrl C Ctrl V, IP messenger, Checking ur mails which can bombard u with assignments any time etc etc etc....

Thanks Abhijith. Any suggestions on brand which will last for 2 years wit not much fuss?Havnt used a lappy yet.So some suggestions from guys using it wud show some pointers.And how about the turn around time for the branded lappys when we hav some prob and contact the service guys?

I have few queries about buying laptop.
1.Is it mandatory to have original Windows OS?Why is it the original version is required?
2.Is it ok to have Linux instead of Windows?What will be disadvantage if i use linux instead of windows?Will it be manageable?
3.Should we also have original Office 2007?
4.What are the main use of laptops inside the campus?Uses other than gaming and movies:biggrin: i meant.

Prem there are two cases,

Case 1: If you want bank only to pay the first term fees also before the may 3rd dead line, we need to send the documents immediately to the branch(Information about what documents to send is provided in the mail which we received). We need to visit SBI Anand at lest in the last week of this month, with Parent or guardian (yes, its mandatory). Contact Mr Himanshu of SBI Anand, let him now your date of arrival at Anand, at lest 10 days before you reach there(He said he requires that time to prepare all the required documents), We are required to stay there for 2 days according to MR. Himanshu.

Case 2: If we can arrange our first term fees, and apply for loan when we arrive at IRMA in June, We can get the first term fees reimbursed. The process takes about a month. We need to get all the required documents, and dully filled form with all required signatures as well(Presence of parent or guardian is not mandatory, confirm this part again)

Oh. Thanks Satwick. I will prefer the second option I guess.I have all the documents ready with me now.But going to Anand in this month is going to be highly unlikely as I need to get relieved from work and few other formalities related to it..

Have you been to Anand or planning to go this month for loan formalities?

I enquired with Indian Bank in my place where I got education loan for my engineering.The interest rate was 12% and was asked for lots of details as IRMA was not very famous down in my place. With very few documents and no collateral, loan from SBI,Anand looks a better option.

Today 75 CRPF Men were killed and 150 others missing in Dantewada by naxalite attack. Those killed were people who died for us so that we can remain protected and safe.

This thread has been used by the so called psuedo liberals, revolution romanticizers who will be studying in IRMA coutesy them who died.These naxals got the funding and arms support from Pakistan based terrorist organization...My question to naxal sympathizer today is whether they are indian or not....if yes than hw can they takes sides with those who belive in mindless violence against us and want to through the way we live and our democracy

I have not been much active in the discussion on naxals.But I feel there is one point which we are missing out here. Yes, what naxals did was huge loss and they attack the people who save us, but still the real purpose for why this happens is being missed out by people who are in power.

Armed rebellion has been a response for lack of development and the way government is handling pressing issues. Government is ready to launch an offensive and is ready to curb naxal activity. But is never ready to bring in development plans and improve the standard of living of people and to respect their livelihoods with high priority.

Home Minister and PM are ready to express their shock when jawans are killed. But wat happens when a poor farmer dies due to hunger?What happens when there are people fighting for their rights and livelihood?What happens to people who fight for one meal a day?Are thier voices been heard?Is something being done to make their lives better?

Sure naxals are not the direct voice of people who suffer. But addressing the root cause will reduce the support given by villagers to the naxals. Naxals should be eliminated. But that will never happen by killing them, but by addressing the root cause.

I am not a supporter of violence.But when non violent protests reaches no ears, what other option do people have to raise their opinion and defend their rights. As long as the voice of people is not heard, this will happen. I dont want this. We dont want our jawans to get killed.But the sad truth is, this will continue.

Source for every rebellion, be it naxal movement or the division of states, the root cause has always been lack of development.I hope people in power be a little more sane than to improve the force and build military camps. Killing one naxal wont reduce their strength.It will just add a brother or son of the died naxal to the ever growing list of naxals.

Journey to IRMA has been a roller coaster ride. When I missed the written cut off by one percent in my first try, Idecided to knock the doors once again than to change my destination. Needless to say,seniors were wonderful. Ashish(PRM 2,Amit(PRM 29) and all the PRM 30 seniors were so supportive in the past 2 years.

My heartiest thanks to all the friends who shared the preparation materials and tips, not much worried that those who use it are their competitors too. That's the real spirit. I hope I was of some help too for PGites here.

All the best for everyone who has made it and lets hope for the best for the friends who are very much willing to join IRMA.

The race is never over,unless you are won. You can never be defeated is wat I learnt in this journey.
