hi guys got through with my gd/pi today.
the gd topic was 'in democracies people get the leaders they deserve'
we were only six guys and one was really queit so it left 5 of us and with so much time all ran out of points.the gd was obviously very peaceful!
the interview was typically a personal one with detailed discussion on my future goals and how i plan to attain them.a long talk on my weakness,and that followed with two qs on acads ,handled one but the other one was a bouncer 'wht do u understand by least square',had no idea abt it.
then r u sentimental/emotional abt being an engineer?
followed by,'i have ahypothesis abt u:u r a technologist not a manager' speak first in favour of then against this,justifying ur self.
then a little bit of qs abt family backgrnd,followed by a thanku.
it took anywhere bn 20 to 25 mins.
well thats abt it and now i am through with all my interviews.

hi guys i am bit late .....but better late than never
had the gd topic 'space program is a wasteful exp.for developing nations'.....it went pretty well ,no fish market,thought i performed well.
interview was different story though.....
the guy started with
1.ur family background.
2.why the gap after 12th .
3.then one guy launched full time into acads for next 15 minutes....from maths(matrices,laplace,graphs) to physics.he got me inthe laplace qs rest were fine.
4.then came wht is the type of regulator in the fan(he showed me the ceiling fan),i told him analog electro mech and the guy just started shouting on me,that he was surprised i am an engineer!after shouting his heart out he aske me to go and check the regulator ,i did the same and stuck to my earlier reply.
well after that it was a bit more of shouting,then the other guy asked a little abt my hobbies and bbyee
well it took arnd 20 minutes and i came out pretty much drained.

sorry for being so late to post,was out of town for iitkgp interview.
first the case study well i had pickle unit establishment one,dont think it went well ,and to top it absolutely no conclusion from the grp.by the way i dont think i need to go into detail s of case study since kunal and shama have already told abt it(we were in the same group).
as for the iveiw,the first qs was wht r u doing,i told them abt my BE and one of the guys immediately launched into acads ,my brnch being instrumentation the guy seemed to have a lot of knowledge of it and i was cornered ,for 6-7mins continous ,each qs coming from my answer to the previous.then he started to go into latest developments and research in instrumentation and here he got me,cause i had no idea abt such questions.
abruptly he gestured to the next guy who got into maths from the word go,qs:give me a linear eq.i gave y=mx+c,a little questioning then apply this eq in your daily life ,gave me some time to think my answer.I gave the example of going for shopping ,giving y,x,mand c different parameters ,then he asked me to talk in numbers,this went on for full 5 mins with the guy cross questioning me continously.
also some qs abt wht is mark up,margin in products ,%margin(he tried to confuse me on the method of calculating this).
the 3rd guy concentrated on my hobbies,especially on reading english fiction one.
qs:wht r the authors u read.i listed around five he asked me abt the last.
qs were basically like wht is the authors writing style in two different novels,wht r the cliches in all his novels,wht do u think cud have been a better way to end a particular novel.
then out of the blue he asked me to tell wht r the latest legal issues facing the judiciary,i talked abt the mysore scandal involving propriety of behaviour issues and then abt ayodhya case hotting up again.
qs:r u conversant abt ayodhya issue.
solve the ayodhya issue assuming u r the sc judge and explain the process for reaching ur judgement,.
then thankyou.
i think i handled the hobby and ayodhya qs well ,rest acads went fine till the modern innovations part.overall i dont have much idea of wht all this means,just that they tried to corner me in evry qs they asked (mostly they kept asking qs till they pushed me on unsure grnds or heard a sorry )
well thats abt it ,it was gr8 to read some of the experiences in this thread.
