If all the students who have been offered admission accept the offer and do not withdraw it till 7th June then the institute will be equally helpless in this regard as that effectively means the candidate has indeed accepted the offer . However, what is the reason this scenario did not occur in the previous years or for that matter in other institutes ? Also we have seen many Puys commenting on PG that they have not accepted the offer in which case the WL should at least move marginally. Can we get some puys around here who have been offered admission and rejected it , to reaffirm their position once again just for the sake of clarity ?

Called the admissions office.. they say waitlist movement will only be there when someone withdraws and they were expecting that people will withdraw after K's result but even now not a single person has withdrawn. On the question of buffer calls he asked me what they were, and when I explained it he said no buffer calls were given. Then I asked how is it possible that every single person has accepted the offer when I personally know people who did not pay the acceptance fees, he said the following which I did not understand, if anyone of you does.. please explain to me, or call again to ask him..

For the 90 seats, suppose 10 people withdrew, the seats left by them were absorbed by people even before the WL were given out. (I dn get what that means )

I asked so buffer calls were given? He said no!

I asked again how many final offers were given for 90 general seats-> only the chairman admissions can tell that.

I asked how is it possible that last year some 350 movement was there and this year NONE? He said depends on the candidates, if they are not giving up offer, how can we move the wl when there are no empty seats.

When I again said how is it possible! He said, if you know people who have declined offer withdrawn or not paid acceptance fees then with their names and CAT Reg no drop a mail to admissions office.
