I suggest Aricent would be a better choice. They r offering you a specific profile, where in Infy new joinees tend to get lost becaause of huge number.

Rather than going for 2 months stint in Infy, I suggest go for vacation instead. If u leave that soon, it'll be problem for you in case you after few year wants to join infy.

The package is also better. And with time, you'll crave to get back to goto your home town. And Aricent is at your preferred location.

Infy is no doubt far ahead of Aricent was formerly Flextronics,Parul as far as you are concerned about the location, well Infy has already been established at Chandigarh and is expanding very quickly. So you may get the location as the chandigarh office.

Anyways the exposure you will get in infy is almost incomparable to any other form like Aricient. So i would suggest you to go ahead n join infy.

These are the certifications I know of;

NCFM (NSE). There are a total of 7 independent modules. AMFI is usually considered to be the easiest, hence usually the first one that students take. There are also equivalent exams by BSE (BCFM). Almost mandatory in Financial Services sector as everyone seems to crack it.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP). This is a core finance course, but advantage viz-a-viz CFA/CA/CPA is that its much shorter.

iCISA. Information Systems Audit - for Chartered Accountants.

APICS CPIM/CIRM/CSCP. These are domain certifications in Supply Chain Mgt. The basic course is CPIM which comprises of 6 modules. Conducted by IMRMI in most Indian metros. CPIM (or atleast its basic modile) is fairly common amongst MBA students n good b-schools.

ITIL ITSM. Has 2-3 different levels.

Six Sigma. Quality certifications. Hal multiple levels denoted by "belts" - green, black etc

PMI. PMI has two different exams. The CAPM can be taken with lesser work experience.

i think like we have mngmnt fests, we can have a IIT-SOMs once a year for the time being.

To start any IIT can be the host, IIT D will b happy to tak an intitiative. But there are lot of things which we need to consider for a meet as huge as this one. It wont b a small one i am sure.

Wat do u guys say about it. IIt R and IIT K are nearby so students from these places can always come to delhi so can ppl from IIT B but diff for IIT M IIT Kgp n IISc. but still we can try and think about it have a meet sometime starting next year after the 1st sem is over.

do think and come up with something concrete MANAGERS..

its a fabalous idea. we can start it with delhi in second sem. Management fest at IIT-SOM's will project a great brand image.
guys at Mumbai, KGP, roorkee, kanpur, banblore....do pour in your ideas and what all activities u'll like to see.
