I'd like to know that since BIM-Trichy has been consistently featuring in top30 b-schools of India and has the same cut-off ns similar placements as of other prestigious clgs lyk IMI,IMT etc den y is it not very popular on All-India level...lyk most of d aspirants in north-India havnt really heard of d clg....Also plz ans the following queries

1)What are BC nd MBC quotas nd wt % of seats hav been reserved for them?

2)Does the clg hav any sports infra...plz mention the sports,gym etc

3)What % of the students/freshers are from North-India?

4)How is the quality of food at the mess and does it offer various cuisines veg nd non-veg?

5)The fees 5.5 lacs,is it inclusive of hostel charges?

6)The list of co's in d placement document for BFSI has only 6-7 names...did any other co's visit the campus?

7)Whr is the GDPI process held?

Please mention some details about the batch diversity like work-ex to freshers ratio,% of engg,gender ratio etc.

2. The college has good sports infra. There is a separate committee in charge of sports infra in the college. For better information, you can read through Life @ BIM thread to get to know about the sports events at BIM.
4. Ya. The mess offers both veg and non-veg cuisines.
7. Last year, GD-PI happened at Chennai and Trichy. This years venues will be disclosed once finalised.
For the other questions like placements and student profiles, you can refer to the college website. They provide detailed info on all the questions you have raised.

Let me put the RESERVATIONS very clear !

OC and SC/ST applicable for ALL students. (OTHER STATE & TAMIL NADU)

BC & MBC applicable only for TN students. ( There is no creamy and non-creamy BC; All TN BC candidates fall into BC category)

Please go through the entire thread before raising your query. Most of the questions raised have been previously raised and answered earlier. :-P

Regarding CALLS :

Shortlisting is done purely on the basis of CAT scores. Previous year cut-offs are available in the website.

SECTIONAL CUT-OFFS were not considered last year ! :)

MAKING IN TO THE FINAL LIST :

Profiles will be looked into during the GD/PI round.
Criteria for selection, weight-age for Educational background, GD-PI, or CAT score is not DISCLOSED !! :)
