Guys, how many confirm to join. Did any one get confirmation on PGPP Hostel?Fooding is a major issue....but if many people staying at one place, we can order nice tiffin at reasonable price.

Agree, its early. But I spoke with a current student, and he didn't get the Hostel because of unavailability (all rooms already taken up).
Although, this seems a new Hostel for PG students, but I didn't want to take a chance.
Guess in due course of time we can negotiate on the early payment...

I'm yet looking for someone from SMU who has stayed/is staying in the Hostel.

I applied on 31st Dec 2011, was interviewed on 28th Feb 2012. Still shows wait-listed.
Nevertheless, have moved on and accepted elsewhere. Assuming so would be the case with many other candidates.

I spoke to current students. They suggested to stay in hostel, because we have more updates on lectures and class related stuff, than when you stay aloof. Commonwealth hostels are fully furnished 2 rooms flat, to be shared by 4 people. Though a lil far from college, I'll take them.
