This is Rahul Sharma here from present batch of ICICI BLP. The answers to some of your queries are mentioned below:

1. If you have not applied for the subject program, please say NO in the forms. If applied, please say YES. It is always better to be honest, than to hide your face from the panel members at the time of interview, if they catch you....

2. As far as course for aptitude test matters, please do not panic. Just have a glimpse of some basic mathematices, volcabs & little bit of critical and verbal reasoning. If anyone of you has prepared for GMAT, it would help a lot coz the questions were of same fashion (but on the easier side). I have not given CAT, so cant say about CAT.

3. Exam would be held at various centres across India & once the exam at all centres is over, the results would be declared in maximum 10 days' time. Again, if there are delays, do not panic coz it would be panic for yourself only. Results wont appear earlier if the intensity of your panic is greater.

4. Selection for aptitude exam will be done purely on ur merits & past experience (irrespective of sectors). It is not that if you are from commercial/finance/banking background, you would be selected. In our batch too, most of us are from non-financial (engineering) background, including me.

5. Last thing for now (but very important). Please do not post unnecessary queries here. The moderator is watching the traffic of posts & if your posts are meaningless, he may lock the group (samething happened with our group at one point of time). So please take care. Hey guys, had a detailed talk with Himal Rana today morning.
Here are the inputs:
1. Regarding the phrase "likely to be employed" in Affidavit Cum Declaration form, he said these documents are made by legal guys & hence might have some ambiquous words. However, there is no need to worry when we have been sent the detailed T&C; from ICICI mentioning the guaranteed job & salary.

2. How will be the amount of INR 10,000 be adjusted? He said, NIIT will refund that amount back to us after joining. Do not know how much is this thing correct...

3. Why is the EMI amount INR 9000 when we were confirmed INR 8000 previously?
To this he said a very different thing... When we would be pursuing MBA for first 2 years, we would not be charged with any EMI. However, the interest rate would keep on accumulating of that amount at the rate of 2.5% compound interest for those first 2 years, which means, it would INR 11,250 first year & INR 11,531 for next year...means total would be INR 22,781.... This would be over and above the interest rate of 5 years (Post-MBA) in which we would be paying actual EMI.... In short, interest would be paid for 7 years in actual..... Thus the total EMI amount will be INR 8380 when divided in 60 equal payments (5 yr repayment period)......However, that wont be the case & we would be required to pay around INR 9000 for first few months till the EMI for rest of the months reaches INR 8000..... Hence, the amount mentioned in that form is INR 9000..... I was not aware about this thing......

4. Regarding the blanks in the form which we are unable to understand, he said, in case they are not answerable, leave them blank, or if they refer to some clause in some document which is not sent to us, then write NA over there.....

ICICI Prudential & IIM-C did something similar in 2008 as ICICI bank & NIIT JV would do now. Fees was just 2.1 lacs....

ICICI Bank announces expansion plans


Officials from ICICI Bank announced that the bank is going to add around 400-500 branches annually. It also aims at increasing the total spending percentage on the road and power projects in the years to come.
The Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Bank, Chanda Kocchar said, "I feel that we have to grow beyond the number of existing) branches... Over the next 2-3 years, we would continue to add branches at the rate of 400-500 per year"
Presently the bank consists of about 2,500 branches and 5,800 ATMs . Officials said that earlier the main focus of the bank was on Personal Loans but now it is more concerned about financing the corporate sector.
She said "I do feel ICICI Bank will play a major role in infrastructure project finance... As investment takes place in phases like in road and power projects, we move as investment takes place... this is an area of big focus,"
Regarding the expansion plans the officials said that it has not opened any new branch in the current financial year but the acquisition of Bank of Rajasthan by ICICI Bank automatically increased the branch network by 500.
"Well, bank grows where GDP grows. So, all the states where GDP growth takes place, banks will grow," Kocchar said.
