Thanks for the GMAT man. I got lucky considering I had not taken a single mock test.
Anyways, in your case, I know its pretty long shot, but Try north of 8.00.
I had 64% from PU and have been haunted by a low undergrad score every where. People cant go back in time to change the score but you are still in the 'present'.
I have seen people with good scores in the past like you getting a call from new IIMs at as low as 97.5 %ile.
I am joining IMT Ghaziabad because this was my first attempt and I didnt want to work. Its great you already know your priority. It helps.

You have a great profile. Dont screw it by going for any tom **** and harry institute. You can get a call from all IIMs if you score 99 +.

BACKGROUND :
3 years work ex in Ericsson and Nokia
BE in Electronics and Telecommunication from University of Pune 2009 pass out with First Class 64 %
75 % in 12th
91 % in 10th
670 GMAT

OPTIONS

IMT Ghaziabad Full Time : Established College with proven track record.
IIM Shillong PGPEx (Global MBA) : First Batch. 6 months in India, 6 months in China. Looks promising but uncertain.

Please help me decide.

1. Post graduate diploma in international business (same as MBA from IIM). We are not sure at this point in time if you can apply for FPM. we will confirm about this later. Generally Executive Programs in IIM are design not for pursuing career in research or teaching.

2. Yes. This is a joint course between IIM Shillong, India and OUC, China and all the modalities are jointly decided by IIM Shillong and OUC.

3. We have design FLL for students having no knowledge about foreign language. (However you can pursue on your foreign skills from now but that is your personal choice.)

4. Final placement depends on market conditions, sector performance, past employment records/ achievements and your performance in the program and interview.
It is very subjective and too early to specify the range. of course IIMS will provide sufficient support to achieve your goal.

Here are few queries that I hope you would answer, taking some time off your busy schedule.

1. "Joint Certification from India (IIM Shillong) and China (OUC, Qingdao)" mentioned in the PGPEx page of your web site.

Is it a normal PGDM course equivalent ? Can I pursue FPM on basis of this degree ? I have seen your reply to one of the candidates claiming that it is the case so, but I needed to confirm myself.

2. Corporate internships provided would be located in China ? Will IIM Shillong arrange the internship or the partner institute ?

Would it be domain specific ? Example, Telecom experience participant gets into Telecom firm, automotive experience gets into Automobile vertical etc ?

3. I appreciate the FLL concept and was wondering if I should start working on my foreign language skills from now onwards ? Would Chinese by compulsory ?

4. I will not ask about the placements as our is a pilot batch. I hope we do well. But at the same time, I do realize that I am one of the least experienced professionals with 3 years and 1 month experience in core telecommunication domain (Nokia Siemens and Ericsson). I hope it would not be held against me at the time of the placement visits.
