i have a query regarding the specialization ( Fin, mar,oper & IT). What are the criterias for awarding the specialization to the students? whether the specializations for final year are given to the students on the basis of there Merit list at the time of admission or on the basis of the academic performance? also when this specialization is confirmed , at the start of the first semester(like the other engg. departments of the IIT) or after the first year.

Did anyone(w/l) get the confirmation letter..........
