here's my situation.i prepared for cat last year but didnt do well..and i have been placed in tcs..so far there's no news about date of joining..so:
1. is it better to take gmat this year itself after preparing?
2.and how long will the score be valid??and will i get a decent college after say, 2 years,of work ex?

10th--88.2
12th--82.8
b.e(electrical engg from manipal)--7.8/10(upto 7th sem sem)

hi..this is prateek..i was preparing for cat last year (for 200,but on having placed in a core company after one software made me very casual about my preparation and needless to say i kinda f**ked up the cat and other pre-mba exams like xat,iift etc...the worst part is that the core company (jindal steels)in which i got selected is now rumored to have delaying the joining,so all i am left with is TCS..though i'm not complaining because thats the story all over the country(i.e. company ditching the students...)..what really bothers me is when to start fresh preparation and what coaching etc to join..earlier i was in ims,manipal but didnt attend class regularly but gave all simcats in which my %tile varied from embarrasingly low 65 to somewhat decent 92..the cat2008 kind of showed my worst performance so far..
though i'm disappointed,i feel this is high time i started again..maybe the failure was a stepping stone...end of my story...
