A2 should be the good beginning in France. Right from the horses mouth. If we are get time there we can talk with the program director if it is possible to hasten up the french classes there and also complete some parts of the B1 level before we travel to france. All these of course if the course schedule and the program authorities allow.

Yup. Thats there. And B1 will require lot of practice which can be done best in france.

Also i dont see we will have any time here in mumbai ........ 9 to 9 classes 6 days a week ...... OMG .........
My engg was 5 days a week ....my job is 5 days a week ...... for 7 yrs my weekend means 2 days ....... :D

IESEG is ranked 24 in France

ESB is ranked 12 in Germany as per this link

These are not rankings, these are clusters. So i thing we can not just add up all to produce a rank.

Also this website gives same '3 PALMS' cluster for all ESB, IESEG and even for SPJIMR

Sorry for joining this thread late. I got the IESEG offer. So I got in touch with with Pravin Monickaraj,IESEG MIB Class of 2010, throuh FB. I asked him about living cost, internship ad job opportunities. I am pasting his reply here.
" MIB is a very good course, it gives you the basic knowledge and overall training about the business world. MIB really would add value to you but only if you make an effort.
As far as job opportunities go, there are plenty but you have to learn french, which is like the key for living in france.
If you don't want to learn french don't bother going to france.

well A2 level in french is good but you must practice it once you are there....
About monthly expenditure.. it would average about 500 euros depending on your life style...
the Job n pay are very subjective.... as an intern you must get about 1000 euros... opportunities are plenty its up to you to exploit it...

I have confirmed from Debasis Sir that french will be taught upto A2 level at SPJIMR.

Hope that solves some of the dillemas that many people including myself was going through. Am Planning to transfer 50K today. I am set to join.

A1 & A2 are beginner levels.
I think we should aim for B1 at least, but its the thing for later times

I received the offer letter yesterday for IESEG. and m still searching for more info abt the IESEG univ.

I am not able to find some good blogs, similar to our PG, where French students share their opinion If anyone get to find one, please share.

Currently only thing bugging me is the internship,
- Its ESSENTIAL that student speak french to do an internship in france.
- Salary during the internship (shud be min 2 months) will be 30% of minimum wages in France (~400 euros)

Also got the clarification mail from Debasis sir, if anyone didn't receive it due to any issue, lemme know.

1. If we are not speaking French there, we will be alienated there. We are already of different color. Without the language we will never understand france. We should work hard for that.
2. I asked few IESEG alumni and they gave me a number arnd 1000 euro. Also have few other sources stating the same.
