Before you decide which institute is better, you should decide what you want to do post-MBA. If you are considering IT or systems jobs then Pumba wins over any colleges in Mumbai, while for finance jobs a good colleges in Mumbai is better than PUMBA.
PUMBA is 9th best college going by the student choices last year. Here is the list of other institutes ranked better than PUMBA - JBIMS, KJ Somaiya, Sydenham, SIES, Welingkar, Dalmia, St. Francis, Pillais Institute.

Truely speaking I am lookin for two clgs JLB institute & KJ saumiya.BUt i came to know that KJ saumiya does not take CET score for PGDM course so only choice that I have now is JLB institute.
Can you tel me what are my chances of getting a seat thr?I am not a maharashtra candidate(that make my chances very less).Also please suggest me what colleges should I look for other than JLB.My current pack is 4.2 Lakh PA so I am expecting at least 7 Lakh PA packg after I am done with my MBA.

Currently I have only IBS hyd as an option.

Frankly speaking we cannot compare the degrees just on the basis of the name. But here is what I feel after talking to various admission officers. MBA as a degree is more popular than PGDM unless the institutes is a very reputed institute like IIM. So if you have an option to take either MBA or PGDM from the same institute, I would suggest take up MBA. Some institutes in Pune themselves recommend MBA over PGDM. Once MBA seats are filled they ask students to consider the PGDM course.
