hey guys please be cool i called in the placement office no given in contact us link of GIM website and they told only few mails have been sent . rest will be sent today and tomorrow.

points to note---
1.not a single non fresher posted any convert, only work ex
2.only 40 total converts posted till now out of 240 seats. i looked in some of the converts threads of last year and they run into triple digits while more people keep pouring in with their acknowledgement.

hence it is clear more mails are awaited. i personally will be gutted if 96%ile and excellent gd-pi wont be suffice for gim to consider me

please clarify your facts.
going thru the previous few posts you will find some freshers have posted their converts. In a batch where freshers contribute to only about 15% of the pie, it is obvious that the number of freshers converting at the first go is few.
And kindly refrain from re-posting the same msg over and over again.

Whats a RFID system> does it work llike the same way like a HRMS in org for attendance marking ??

In GIM every individual on the campus is given a RFID card. The details of the individual(that rests in the server) can be tracked by the unique code embedded. On the campus RFID is used for more than just attendance marking. At every place one can find installed a RFID scanner. It is used for:
1. As an ID card
2. Attendance marking
3. Cashless transactions at canteen, juice centre, stationary(the payment needs to be done in accounts department)
4. Library transactions(yes, this gives one the liberty to issue books 24X7)
5. Keeping note of individuals leaving and entering campus
6. Tracking location of an individual

Relevant topics for freshers in Electrical Engg :
1. Be clear with all the basic laws (Kirchhoff's, Norton's, Ohm's ...... )
2. Transformers (clarity of concept is more than enough)
3. Working of an Induction Motor (one of the favorites of interviewers)
4. The concept of brushes in DC
5. HVDC, different switches/ tripping circuits
5. Any current relevant topics : UMPP, Plans to be implemented in the next 5-years plan, current nuclear power scenario, etc
6. Basics of Analog/Digital electronics, programming, transistors might be asked.

This list is not exhaustive. The interviewer wont check for(unless its a bad day for the candidate) any hardcore knowledge. It will only be a test of basic concepts. Other than these proper answers to the general questions ( basic economic terms, current topics, CV based, . .) will make one sail thru.

i was going through the mail sent by gim when i noticed that nowhere in the mail was present my name . as i checked d mail details, i couldn't find my mail-id.
there's no legal validity of the mail. nowhere in the official site of the institute is any communication made .
so im suspecting that this might be a hoax and its better to wait for the hardcopy .

Your admission is subject to your complying with all the conditions for admission given below. Please confirm your acceptance by paying the fees for the first two terms as indicated in the attached statement.
To facilitate payment, you may pay the fees for the first two terms in two parts.
