Hii...
amithar bhai , cudnt get back here... As they say, MDI never sleeps. thats what im discovering these days. Of course, not to mention that there are activities 24X7. Its really something different and unique from whatever iv been through before. And its exciting.Keeps you on your toes all the time. Infact, Iv not even been able to touch Shantaram, even tho i was enjoyin it soo much.
Anyways, Midnight's Children,FH,AS are some of my fave books. Heavy indeed, but their fictional approach makes for easier reading than, say, Argumentative Indian. As iv mentioned before, Midnight's Children follows a unique style of narration & choice of grammer/vocab,something i had never come across before and it took me a quarter of the book to get used to., But in the end,its a fantastic book.
In fiction, Ludlum rules. Especially if super secretive agencies, undercover agents, state of the art weaponry, tactics etc interest you more than the politics involved. In the latter case, its Forsyth,no question. The bourne series is good. But i didnt lyk the 4th book, written by Lusterbade.
And ifd you liked Ludlum,id recommedn Alistair McLean too. He is more into hard core action and adventure. A typical setting is - seemingly unsurmountable behind enemy lines operation, a set of super tough n likeable heroes,a n exotic locale and a breathtaking pace. Guns of Navarone.Force 22 from navarone & Where eagles dare are some masterpieces.
By the way, I love Harry Potter too.:satisfie: Ever since 9th standard. And i dont think its silly at all!
