i got into sydenham MMS but i am already a student of SIBM- BANGALORE. So i am confused whether to take the offer or not. please give me a comparison between the 2 institutes and brief about finance related placements and profiles offered, as i am interested in finance.

Anybody got any info abt online induction program? When can we expect the mail?

Yes we are going to have another meet in mid of may.

Finally paid the fees yesterday. Personally went to the college & submitted the DDs.

Now proud to be part of this college!!! I need more details abt the meet this Sunday, I haven't received any mail yet. Also what abt the buddy assigned to me?

I have been shortlisted & I had to reply by 6th April to the mail sent by SIBM B.. I had replied yesterday only confirming my joining but I have not got any reply from admission team. How will I know they have received my mail? seniors please help.

6.Students appearing for their final examination will be admitted provisionally on the basis of Bonafide Certificate from the previous College. Every student is required to produce the Marks Statement of Graduation Examination within 10 days of the declaration of the Results and in any case not later than July 31, 2011. If a student fails to produce the above documents within the stipulated time, his/her admission to the course is liable to be cancelled without any prior notice.

My GE/PI Experience

Date:20th Feb 2:00 pm slot

Reached the college at around 1:50 Pm & found nobody on the campus, then security personal informed me to go to 6th floor, room no. 606. I did not how to knot the tie & met amyrocket, he helped me. When I entered the romm saw lot of tensed, bored, relaxed, I-don't-care type of aspirants. At 2:00 PM one of the seniors announced that the previous batch's interview has been long so the 2 PM slot will be delayed.

Next, they showed some videos about SIU, SIBM Bangalore college life. The college video was very inspiring, we had Q & A with seniors after that. There were 2 second year students & 3 first years students, very helpful, they tried best to calm our nerves.

Finally, at around 3:30 PM, process for our slot started, we were split into 3 groups each having 11-12 aspirants. First there was document verification & then at around 4 we were sent for our GE process. Unfortunately for our GE we had 4 panelists & all of them were industry personals. We were 8 aspirants, we weer divided into 2 groups & given a GE topic.

GE topic : Build a new business idea which would target old age people.

We had a minute for clearing the doubts, 10 minutes to discuss about the topic & 3 minutes to present the idea to panel. Our team initially did brainstorming session & came up with some ideas & finally decided on humanoid + social club. I gave suggestion that only two will take notes & they will present it to the panel. We prepared well for the topic & had structured our business plan. All this while, the panelists were walking around, looking & peeking at us. First amyrocket presented his team ideas, then from our team one of the guy presented the idea & he handled it pretty well. There were many questions asked but he kept his cool. After presenting we were given 5 min to summarize the GE process in a sheet NOT the product but the process.

My PI was bizarre to say the least. Since I had to go to the dame panelists for the interview I was expecting some drilling. But it never happened. There were not even a single HR questions other than Tell me about yourself & why you want to be in this institution. Every other questions revolved around my personal life. Panelists were smiling whole of the interview. The questions were asked from my hairstyle to my girlfriend, family, native place, languages I know, my hobbies. I did pretty well in the interview. The panelists were amazing, they just want to know you better.

After the interview process, met with few more seniors, took a campus tour. Campus is really nice & so are the people. Seniors really handled the process very well. Overall very happy with things went.

Hoping for the best. March 14th seems too far!!
