My break up is like - QA -33, DI-44, VA-30-40.....any chances for calls with 2.5 years work-ex?

Does it make any difference whether the number of qns is 60 or 180? You are gonna face the same paper that everybody else is gonna face. So instead of worrying needlessly abt this, strengthen ur fundas in each section , so that u clear the required cut-offs. If number of qns is gonna increase , then it might mean cut-offs will rise . or it might not. So continue with ur prep and block all these things from ur mind.

Hi Neha, i have beenworking as a software tester for the past 2 years .It is a field with great career opportunities ( if you are interested ). Both manual and automated testing , is witnessing tremendous growth. If you have good knowledge of one testing tool like QTP/WinRunner/LoadRunner , you can get good packages from leading MNCs.PM me for any further doubts.

Well I have noticed. We tend to get emotional towards some questions while attempting a SIM CAT, MOCK CAT or AIM CAT, I guess it isnt good. When a question is not happening we should move forward. I would like to ask how many of u have mastered the art of leaving the question that might be of ur favourite topic but u r smart enough to leave it cause its tough or maybe too time consuming. What are the ways to go about it?

First of all , forget fav topics or ur strength atreas or things like that. First see the qn, and decide in am ax of 15 secs whether you can do it fast. fast here meaning within one min .If you decide you can , go ahead.If you are sure you can crack it but will take some time, come back to the qn only after you have exhausted the easy qns first. that way you wil ensure u claer the cutoff

No viajy actaully i was quite serious because i found 19 in DI and 12 in Quant to be achievable thats why..........

Guys i feel that if you can get 15 in both DI n QA in such ap aper you can expect all 6 IIM calls. Am i right or wrong?

I have been workign in Infosys for the past 2 years (so i might be a little biased) .>.....Infy is currently goign great guns and is poised for tremendous growth in the future. Also when you join Infy, its almost like joining a govt organization. Once you are there , hey will move heaven n earth to keep you. The present salary for entrly level fresehsrs is as per industry standards and the benefits start to kick in once you stick beyond 2 years....also depending o nthe project you are in......u can get onsite pretty quickly..........(once again, depending on the project you are in).............these are soem of the benfits...........some cons are also there as in..........some IBUs are pretty worthless to work in.............

I have been working in Infosys for the past 2 years on software testing and i will put forward my experiences. As many ppl mentioned above software testing mainly involves understanding the functional requirements of the project, writing test cases, executing test scripts/scenarios. During my work , i have been involved in all kinds of testing both performance and automation testing (using tools) and manual testing. Testing services are in huge demand and experienced testers are in huge shorfall (especially in Infy, where they borrow experienced QA people from other IBUs...this is my personal experience)......Testing also has great opportunities onsite as currently lot of requirements are there for onsite.....It definitely is a great thing to do and in my opinion , as important as development, as here in Infosys some 60% of projects involve QA work both at onsite/offshore....You also get to learn about different domains....and if you are looking to do your MBA preps , there isnt a better area to work in..............again speaking from experience.............:)
