In my classes, I'll pick up words from punch lines, advertorials, newspapers headlines and websites. Every word has a meaning and story to it. You are most cordially invited to check out the link of the first class

Here are some points I noticed in your SoP:

1. Why tell them about your weakness? "Though i have been helped by these courses to get broad viewpoint, i have no practical experience in the field of finance." Forget everything about NEGATIVE Transitions like 'but', 'although', 'however' and the like. If you want to use them show how inspite of the weakness, you took charge and succeeded in your efforts.
   
2. I love the way Simba has started the essay. What about starting your statement with exressions like "My penchant for number crunching..." ?
   
3. While praising the faculty at MBA, showcase your research on the Institute. Words like "top-ranking premier institute..." and "placements" add value to your text, but, you need to relate your work ethics to the philosophy of the Institute. Yes, you need to hunt that out; but, you have to work on it.

Your post is really helpful and creative. Being an English teacher, I thought of pointing a small error in Grammar here. "Me and a friend" is incorrect. Make it "My friend and I...".

IELTS is all about testing your knowledge of the English language. How good you are at comprehending and speaking it matters a lot. Devise strategies to read or listen to text in a manner by which you retain it for answering questions. For Speaking and Writing, brainstorm on as many topics as you can- not complete sentences, just phrases.
