Dude...your main concern seems salary & not the work profile...if you keep on cribbing over salary..then its certainly not a good sign & you are heading into a wrong direction. Have clear goals. You want a good salary or work profile you are interested to work in. Its not a guarantee that an IIT engineer will be showered with a hefty pay packet as soon as he enters the Finance Industry. So don't go by the figures that float around about the salaries in finance industry. The constant cribbing will suck you out completely. Don't get too fussy over your salary in just 7 months of working. There's long way to go in Life.
I am wondering if you have the wisdom to think that Life in himalayas is peaceful (I am presuming, you know that you won't be even getting peanuts in Himalayas), then how can you not get over this exaggerated complaint of yours. Just accept it that you are in a situation not enjoyed by you & instead of complaining, try to find out the ways you can improve your situation constructively.
