hi guys, i am applying for MS real estate management in US and european universities. The sOp i had written, slightly remodelled after looking at srikrishnan's SOP.. (hope u dont mind, we are not gonna apply for the same school or even varsity)

my dream the foundation was laid I was introduced to the world of buildings when I was in the seventh grade. Our family was building a new house and I was fascinated by watching the transformation of a vacant site into a beautiful structure. This fascination with buildings only grew over the years. From then on, I was never able to walk past a construction site or a beautiful building without stopping to take a better look.
the structure developed This early fascination for buildings made me graduate in architecture from XXXX, a leading technical institution in southern India. I reveled in the stimulating atmosphere for learning in the architecture school, and worked with enthusiasm and passion in the design studios. I also participated enthusiastically in group projects and extra-curricular activities. During these years I realized that my passion for conceiving and executing construction projects far exceeded my passion for design. I also realized that my strong points - natural ability to work with people, analytical skills and the inherent entrepreneurship spirit - also complimented this paradigm shift. As a testimony to my leadership skills, I was unanimously selected as the president of XXXX '04, the annual architecture symposium of the department.
the finishing touches even before I graduated, I started working for XXXX where I got a great opportunity to work in the design of a green building and also I was entrusted with the responsibility to handle two projects on my own. I introduced basic time management, cost-cutting and project management techniques in the projects that I handled which proved to be very successful.
why real estatean urge to be an entrepreneur during my wok as a professional architect, I realized that while architects design the way a building looks and works, they are seldom involved in the decision of exactly what to build. In most developments, the architect is considered only one of the numerous players, and is often relegated to a role of carrying out a pre-established vision for the development, rather than playing a leadership role in its determination from the start. On the other hand real estate is exciting, enterprising, dynamic and offers a challenging and rewarding experience. I also believe being an architect, I am in a unique position to conceive and execute innovative and successful projects.
what the future holdsreal estate in India is booming and what is currently being seen, I believe, is only the tip of the iceberg. The opportunities are tremendous and the future is exciting. I would certainly want to be a part of this exciting growth story. My medium term goal is to start a real estate development firm and to execute successful projects and in the process changing the cityscape of the Indian cities to International standards.
why XXX I believe XXXX will provide me a truly international learning experience. The culturally and professionally diverse student body of the program will help me gain new perspectives and ideas. The reputation of the university as one of the leading institutions in Europe and the exposure to European practices will help me fulfill my long term goal of becoming a truly global entrepreneur in the field of real estate development.
