Thanks for starting this thread. I am a re-applicant from IT background. It would be great if ppl from existing students or admitted group answers the following questions -
1. GMAT cut-off level for IT (Planning to give GMAT again; current score - 680)
2. Expected experience range in IT - I have 7.25 years now.
3. What specific things do IIMA prefers in an IT applicant?

Check out the IIMA average student profile. Personally i feel that IIMA compares you against that profile. So in case you dont match on one of the parameters, then they expect you to make up in the other one. For example, if you have less international exp, then probably they expect you score better in some other parameter such as GMAT score, or a girl student, or a non IT guy, or something else.

at the bottomline, either you should have a USP ( unique selling point) that will show you aside from the lot. Or you should exactly fit the average profile.

if i understand the report correct cash component ranges from 14 to 29 lakhs..with mean/median around 20. Thats not encouraging if someone is only looking for placement.

And this is the the data from only 30 students. not sure about the data of remaining 70 student's stats.

@telephonic interview candidates,
did anyone receive the date and time? last week an email was sent asking us to provide telephone numbers for the interview, but I haven't heard any response since. All I know is that the interview is on either 6th or 7th.

Not yet dude. Still waiting for that. I am planning to wait until monday and call them.

Surprisingly also got the interview email NOW which was supposed to be for 24th Sep ??

Guys and Gals,

Just trying to guestimate the logistics of interviews vs. intake

AHD: 3 panels*12 per panel*2 days = 72
LON: 1 panel*16 = 16
BOS: 2 panels*16 per panel*2 days + 7 last day = 71
BLR: 2 panels*16 per panel*2days = 64

Total = 230?

Class size = 90 - ~10 deferrals = 80?

Does this sound reasonable? I know there may be other folks who did these stats before, who may have better input ..

I think you can safely assume that 5% of them do not turn up for the interview for some reason. So makes it 220. And i think there will some deferrals this year too.
