Thanks for starting this thread. I am a re-applicant from IT background. It would be great if ppl from existing students or admitted group answers the following questions -
1. GMAT cut-off level for IT (Planning to give GMAT again; current score - 680)
2. Expected experience range in IT - I have 7.25 years now.
3. What specific things do IIMA prefers in an IT applicant?

Check out the IIMA average student profile. Personally i feel that IIMA compares you against that profile. So in case you dont match on one of the parameters, then they expect you to make up in the other one. For example, if you have less international exp, then probably they expect you score better in some other parameter such as GMAT score, or a girl student, or a non IT guy, or something else.
at the bottomline, either you should have a USP ( unique selling point) that will show you aside from the lot. Or you should exactly fit the average profile.
