I hav just completed computer Engineering..waiting fr the results..M jus a fresher so confused wat to do..?? I dont wanna leave my field after putting 4 yrs in it..Also m gud at programming.. As of nw i hav joined JAVA course.. I wanna do MBA fr sure..But i dont undrstnd whn shud i go fr it n which course shud i opt for looking at the current market position.. Wat does the market demand 4m an computer engineer..??

You can opt for a job for sometime ( 1-2 years) and then go for MBA... Also. you can go for MBA in systems if you interested in that field and dont want to leave your field.. Otherwise choose between Finance/Mkt/HR...

I am a B.Echemical engineer....KPIT I have to join in 5 days...tcs I havnt got the offer letter yet!!!both companies have 2 years bond...KPIT salary-9000 for 3 months training period,2 lakhs after that....

Tcs-3.2 lakhs...

I am so confused what to take up...Kpit the work is shift based.
morn shift-6-3:30
eve shift-3:30-1:30...

Tcs they havnt told yet bout the shift....

Hi.. I would suggest you to join TCS... everything is better there compared to KPIT i.e brand value, componsation, no shift etc.. Take a wise thought before joining... All the best..

have seriously started studying a week ago... english is very good... horrible in maths... need to go back to basics... and lr di is like latin n french....
honestly isnt it too late.. i dropped maths in 12th and have forgotten even the most basic rules.
have joined career launcher but they dont seem to be taking lr di seriously...
how do i go about it ??

Try to solve LR/DI problems yourself at home.. dedicate more time on areas where u are weak... Then start giving mocks and you can analysis which areas you need to work on.. All the Best

i want to be a business analyst. I am going to complete my MBA by March 2011.

Right now I am doing a majors in finance. From what I have come to know, business analysts have become very important to an organisation, even during the recessions. Also they are required in all kinds of sectors.
But the most number of jobs for them are available with IT companies. So I am trying to tailor make my resume accordingly to fulfill the job specification criterion.

After consulting the senior level managers of a few companies I have come to know that they require MBA graduates with an IT background and finance as their main domain. I do not have a work experience and my B school does not offer IT subjects.

So I am trying to find certifications, projects, whatever it takes to fulfill the former criteria.

I have read that OBIEE(oracle business intelligence enterprise) 11g is going to be released on 27 July. I was wondering if it is a widely used tool so that doing its certification will give me an edge. Also what if an MCITP(microsoft certification ) is available for business intelligence. Because now a days business project management and business intelligence go hand in hand.also will doing an ERP certification help me in the right direction?

i am confused and require the correct guidance.

Professional Certifications adds value when one has relevant experience in the field.. I would suggest you not to go for certification just for the sake of adding it to your resume..Also, recruiters give importance to the certifications when you have experience in that field..Hence I would suggest you to wait for sometime and gain some work experience in the field of your interest and then go for certification courses of your choice....Thanks

US CFA is globally accepted and recognised...ICFAI CFA is known only in India...so if u wish to work for Global Investment Banks, US CFA would be a preferred over Indian CFA..

HEY puys,
do people working in private companies need to submit noc at the time of interviews.
cuz some the companies will never issue noc but juss an experience letter.

No NOC is not required.. If you get selected then you need to submit the experience letter of the last organization...

If you dont get an offer from a better college then ITM before May you should attend the interview... otherwise you may choose the other college over ITM .. Secondly, if the interview dates are location based you may change the interview location if its possible so that you get a chance to appear early..
