well nirma brand is gettign popular every pasin yr.NIM is duin really well.the avg sal is arround 5.5 with highest of 9 by JP((to a bcom/fresher gal).we have started getting i-bankin profiles.main recruiters were Infy (14)n icici (24).
Nirma has big plans ahead. nim,nit are on its way to build a biggest campus with residential building for faculty as well.

yes its good to know that nirma brand is growing day by day... in fact many ppl have started coming to iims from nirma ... to name a few who passed out or r currently in process are jasraj, nikhilesh, megha, jvalit, nityanand, gargi etc... have forgot atleast 3-4 more... hope that in furture both NIT and NIM progress by leaps and bounds !!!

this is mohit gupta... first a brief intro is necessary.... i did my BE from nirma (CS 2003 batch) worked for 2 years and currently doing mba @ IIM bangalore (PGP 2007 batch..) during my engg days NIM was in intial days of inception... now good to see the pics.,.. they look nice.. at the same time good to see that nirma brand getting popular day by day... few queries cropped up in my mind... kindly give some info...

1. whats the profile of faculty mainly that i can c from website also but whats the real exp of students of the faculties...
2. whats the real scene of the placements....

Can anyone tell how the elective subjects are offered to students? I mean are they allotted on the basis of performance or is everybody free to take the elective of his/her choice. I guess there would be some upper or lower limit for no. of students in each elective.
iN such a case can you tell on an average how many students are unable to get electives of their choice and finally end up in an altogether different streamfrom where they wanted to be in!

Seniors, please do answer this query as it seems quite important to me at the moment.

Venue: Eden, Harrison's Hotel, Nungambakkam, Chennai
Date: Saturday, 29th April, 2006
Time: 7pm

Directions to Harrison Hotel
1. From Mount Road, get onto Nungambakkam High Road.
2. Go straight down till the end, where the road forks into two.
3. Take the right and go further till you reach the Pizza Hut signal (1st signal).
4. Go past the signal. Harrison hotel is the 3rd building on the left.

Anybody who has a final call (including the WL) is invited to join the meet... nice food and time pass assured and also use this to clear all ur queries.

wrt above any of u having a prob in night stay in chennai can come to flat we have rented and stay there... no need to spend money on hotels etc... 2-3 ppl can be accomodated ... fully furnished with A/Cs
