Come participate in India's largest quizzing spectacle -- Under The Peepal Tree(UTPT)!

UTPT is hosted by RV QuizCorp, the quiz club of RV College of Engineering, Bangalore. Apart from passionately taking part in quizzes across the country, RV QuizCorp has been conducting their signature event, Under the Peepal Tree or UTPT, for 12 years now.

This year, UTPT is set to get bigger with more varied quizzes and up to Rs.1,20,000 up for grabs! So heres a shout out to those brain cells, an invitation to think hard, dig out answers to interesting questions, while having fun and possibly making money!

Under the Peepal Tree11 is set to happen on 18th, 19th & 20th March 2011. The details are as follows:


Friday, 18th March 2011 at RV College of Engineering (Mysore Road, Bangalore)

9:30am : Indi-genius (India Quiz)
2:00pm : -Tech (Science and Technology Quiz)


Saturday, 19th March 2011 at RV College of Engineering (Mysore Road, Bangalore)

9:30am : Game Theory (Sports Quiz)
2:00pm : Lieut-en-ent (Literature and Entertainment Quiz)


College Buses are available to prominent destination(s) after the quizzes end at the RVCE Campus.

Sunday, 20th March 2011 at RV Teacher's College (Jayanagar, Bangalore)

10:00am : The Major Quiz (General quiz) for college teams
3:00pm : Magnum Open (Open-Gen quiz)- Open to all and Corporate teams.

There are prizes for the Best School, College and Corporate Team in the Magnum Open Quiz.


And the first rule to attending UTPT is ,"Not to worry about a quiz team (if you don't have one)". Be there and you will find your match(es).

I'm from the South and I've got a percentile of 99.47. Is Alliance the only good college in the South, that I can get into? I also hear rumors that they no longer have campus placements..how can I confirm if this is true?

Also, if I write Dec/Feb MAT and say, get a lower score, which score would Alliance consider?

2.If I can give only DEC or FEB MAT, which one would you suggest I write? (I'm looking for colleges in Bangalore)

RVQuizCorp presents UTPT 2010

What happens when quizzers from R V College of Engineering (Bangalore) are made to wait for their order at a dhaba? They wonder if RVCE actually stands for R V Curious Enough. Thus began RVQuizCorp, the quizzing club of RVCE.

In just twelve years since that moment, the quizzing club has gone on to become one of most famous, feared, revered and fun quizzing communities in India and a regular feature in almost every quiz. The club continues to churn out some of the most famous quizzers and quiz masters in the country.

Under The Peepal Tree (UTPT) is the signature quiz fest of RVQuizCorp. This annual event features top quizzing teams from across the country battling it out to be crowned the best. The twelfth edition of UTPT will be conducted on March 19,20,21st and promises to be one of the biggest ever, with cash prizes of over Rs.1.3 lakh to be won. In keeping with QuizCorp's aim of spreading quizzing culture, all registrations are free.

4 college quizzes across 19th and 20th, at RV Dental college : India quiz, Gen quiz, Sport quiz and Sci-tech quiz.
AV Open quiz on 21st, at The Malleshwaram Association.
