I too got 503 error today 4m morning 10 to 4.00pm again logged in at 6,30 only

But if at all we come in waiting list there are other issues...
like if we remit fees to any other instituites they wont refund it ya ..
n they had not yet published the waiting list so how can we wait .. i really like to join nit trichy as u said because of the fee
