Yes ok,but can u specify the institutes which will consider acads?.
Does Institutes like IIFT,XLRI,NITIE,IIT,JBIMS,TISS,SIBM fall under this category.I know the IIM'S criteria.
Please suggest.

IIFT,XL,TISS,SIBM don't consider Past academics, they give purely Written Test based Calls.
NITIE and IITs also Don't Consider past academics records bu they do have some criteria to apply. NITIE,IIT-M,IIT Kgp asks for First class in Engineering, IIT B and IIT D asks for 60% or its equivalent CGPA in B.tech (6.5 for B and 6.75 for D), IIT Roorkee asks for 6.0 CGPA.
And JBIMS gives very less weighatage (around 2%) to your 10th and 12th marks..

guys i wanted to know that while giving the actual CAT xam can i see the total no of questions i hv attempted as is shown in the CL mocks???

In AIMCAT i did not find that feature....i had to go to the review screen and count the no of ques i attempted manually....
but in the CL mocks they constantly displayed my no of attempts.....

i'm just curious.......seniors who hv given CAT earlier plz help.......

Dude, This year's IIMs' criteria are not revealed yet, SO better you do not bother about criteria and focus on preparation .
And Seriously Telling you, IIMA's and IIMB's selection criteria are mysteries of the world, yet to be solved..
So better you focus on engineering and CAT first.. ATB

Hi everyone, I'm a Final yr B.tech student, I'm doing well in Engineering, but I really suck in CAT..I'm getting 50-60 %tiles in AIMCATs , can any one tell me significance of these AIMCATs? cos Although I'm working more than others,I can't score as expected..

OK, AIMCAT are just for practice and to give you actual Idea about CAT paper.
But AIMCAT papers are over loaded with difficulty, Actual CAT papers are bit easier than AIMCAT.
So Do not worry and analyze solution of AIMCATs, You'll get idea where actually you go wrong.
And start practicing according to it.

can sme bdy help me out with verbals.. am very weak.

TIll now I find only one solution to this problem.. Reading and reading.
Start reading newspaper, magazine and try to solve VA questions from PG preparation resources (Best one IMO), Arun Sharma and TIME material.. Analyze AIMCAT Questions and Answer.. You will get some idea ..

i follow the below strategy for VA & LR section. i dono if its correct.
I attempt all LR quest, irrespective of the difficulty level i try n crack those 9-10 quest.
Then i attend selective quest from VA section.. ones which i am quite confident.
I started adopting this strategy because my VA accuracy is very poor..

start reading and Practice more and more, then you will be confident automatically.
PG provides wonderful forums for the VA preparation..
Sift through them.. They are really useful and Up to date..

Everyone in the world says that you are changed a lot..
But no one in the world looks into your eyes and says that You have compromised a lot..
