I need your help on Chetna's Institute of Mngt ASAP. I would greatly appreciate if you can help me out on gather some information. I am an OMS candidate and I have an AI rank of 177 and merit score of 177 as well for Maha CET this year. And My chances to get into K.J and Welingkars look very shaddy. I would like to know how good is Chetna's for MMS or PGDBM and which area of mngt is it recognized for eg: HR, Marketing, Finance etc.., Now I am a HR peron with 1.8yrs of HR experince and my crrnt salary is 4.2lakhs p.a Could you give me a insight on the highest salary offered in MMS or PGDBM for the HR and other fields.

please don't waste your time on chetana. its an "OK" institute but with the salary you're drawing now, it wouldn't do you justice - you'll probably end up at the same package or maybe a 5 - 51/2 max. so try next yr for the top 4 in mumbai under cet.

I know this is a dilemma,,

People with score of less than 170 in open category are waiting and also people with score of less than 160 in gujarati minority are waiting ..
I think people who got through gujarati quota should stick with it and let people with high score in open category get a chance.
Even dey deserve a bit.
61 seats are there for gujarati people
and only 17 seats for open category students who have scored more.

Let fair people get the chance
No offense to any gujarati people as even i m a gujarati and even i got thru gujarati quota.....

If any of the guys through the gujju quota want to stick with somaiya, don't go through the open. out of the 1,000 gujju's ... 60 seats are there for them. imagine the 1 or 2 percent of the 76,000 ppl who have a BETTER score, a BETTER percentile, are BETTER candidates overall settling for a lower college just because of their cast.
So yes, if you're planning to take up a welingkar, sydenham. please do switch. if you get somaiya through cap and have already got it through quota, stick with the quota

I've heard different views regd the campus

Some say it's still being constructed, others said it will be done by the time we get there and that they're just putting the finishing touches - can anyone give me a definite view? esp those who've been there and seen it first-hand

Also, i probably will not be paying for the hostel as soon as tomorrow. how they hell do they expect us to cough up 60,000 in 2 days is beyond me

Are you serious? Check properly , you might have put the number incorrectly. cuz the "rejection" letter is shown commonly to everyone whose not selected. for ex, let's say if i put my number and an incorrect birthdate .. it will say mismatch (if i have been selected) ... if im not selected, if i put my no. and any birthdate .. it will show the rejection letter
