Well the seniors including me have not been active because of our end term examinations..which have not really given us time to breathe...

For your queries..
1. Counselling even when 2nd list comes out is highly unlikely...but official word can not be obtained till tomorrow..today being Sunday..
2. Our seniors i.e. class of 2008 had received the results,just the way you all have..from their experience I can say that waitlisted means ranked beyond 360..lets not forget that in our batch ranks went upto 1200+ and so we see many people who have been shown "waitlisted"..pls do not muddle the same with "rejected"
3. Also when you have been waitlisted, its not on preference basis but you will get upgraded on that basis...this is what happened in our seniors' batch..

Taking an example, my preferences are suppose Fin, FT, HR, IB, IT...and I am waitlisted..if I clear i.e. substantial ppl do not accept offer, I wud first b chkd for Fin..ie. if seats r remaining in that after ppl ranked higher than me...if not, I ll b chkd for FT and so on.

I think this is a very logical and had taken place for our seniors and most probably is being used for you all..

Hope I have put some apprehensions to rest..

There have been repeated replies on how one is supposed to go by for getting dates changed...someone even managed to get it changed..point is the slots for rescheduling are few and probably u r not fitting that...n instead of criticizing an insti's professionalism y dont u try the other one also fr rescheduling..let us all know your valuable views on their attitude....

1st query: I donno know if there is a connection between international linkages for exchange and international recruiters....I nvr thot thr ws ne...

N ya wat u termed as defending the institute is something I myself believed before I saw the reality..rest is upto u to think as u want to...

2nd query: 60 till our batch..the institute hs applied for more seats ths yr to AICTE but hw many that wud be is uncertain

the boxes are too small to accomodate data. for e.g in the box for board/university
, we are supposed to give full name of the board. but the box is hardly 3 cms long and 1 cm high.. i am wondering how to fill up "central board of secondary education" in dat column. :(

even the job profile column is very small.

We faced similar problems...My suggestion write CBSE fr d board n in job profile giv ur designation n a short statement stating wat the job ws..they ll ask u d detail if they wish to...dont wry too much...practice a little for writing small alphabets..I did tht despite th fact tht my writing is pretty small

Thts a misconception sir..get into a bschool once...n u ll know it..sometimes the best of d profiles hv v avg packages...n thr is a tradeoff 4u to tk gud profile or gud package...(thts my observation)
