The college will start on 31st of this month so it is better if you take quick decisions.

The CAP preference ur putting is fine.I would advise you to put PG also in the CAP1 because if you miss admission in CAP1 and you come in CAP2, then you will have to manage the pre reading and assignments in short span of time which CAP 1 people will have 10 days to complete, you will have to do the reading in 2 days and the assignments along with the induction which will be very hectic.

Does this mean that pre reading and assignments start immendiately after cap1 students confirm after their admission i.e. just after 16th july?
I am currently working, so need to know how much time I will have to devote after 16th july till the college starts?

I have one query which I am hoping someone could solve..
During the CAP Round, If we select some colleges say 5-10 colleges out of which the cut offs of the 3-4 colleges is matching our score, would we get a choice to select the college out of those or only ONE college, based on the preference list, would be the one we get selected in?

you will get alloted to ONLY ONE college... suppose you fill 10 options and out of that options say 4 ,5, 7 are the colleges which u can get as per the cut offs, then you will be alloted to college mentioned in option 4

Its pretty difficult to compare these colleges as I think all of them belong to same league. You can go through previous years cut offs to get the better idea abt which college is more preferred. (Rankings of the colleges under CET are determined by how difficult it is to get into a particular college i.e. cut offs; so if u want to know the rankings, compare the cut offs )

PS: This is again a personal opinion. There are other factors like industry interface, location, alumni etc which also matter, but cut offs vary depend on these factors too. So I think cut off is the most reliable criteria to compare the colleges under CET.

1. Sydenham MMS seats are increased from 60 to 120.
New batch size:
MMS: 120.
PGDBM: 60.

2. Sydenham PGDBM does not have separate quota for HU or OHU. All Maharashtra candidates are treated equally and called as "OHU" (dont know why) as per DTE allotment list. Therefore, all maharashtra candidates have equal chance for PGDBM seats.

Hello every1, can any1 please help me out with college selection.
I have scored 148/240 in CET 2012. I am from pune university.
My state rank is 326 and home university rank is 30.
I think this score is sufficient to get admission to welinkar or pumba. I am confused between which one to take. Considering that i am a fresher, i have heard that placement gets difficult in colleges like WE or KJSOM where the student strength is 400+(MMS + PGDM), whereas in PUMBA it is around 120. which college would you prefer?

I think batch size should not be the only criteria to shortlist the college... Look at the brand name, industry interface, alumni etc to arrive at a decision. WE or KJSom will give u better exposure considering dat they are situtated in business capital of the country.
Its better u ask such specific queries on FB group called "B Scool to opt for"... You will get a better idea...bcoz Direct comparison of colleges is not allowed on Pagalguy.
