I have recently scheduled my GMAT test for july'12. Although, my friends who have appeared for GMAT have told me the names of few good reference books for preparing for the exam but i am totally confused as to which book i should go for.

I mostly would be going for the ebook of the book that i zero in on and plan to buy it online from either infibeam or flipkart.

Please advise. !!

2 small queries..

1. When the mentors will be assigned to us? plz, if we can hv some guidance from mentors to fill up the essay question then it will be really useful.. :)

2. the admission policy of iim k says that, in final stage, profile will constitute 15% of the marks.. can someone elaborate on this point.

hv doubt regarding alternate career plans qstn...is it same as if not MBA, then what?
what they wanna know actually...
i can/will neways do mba in future if not now...should i write about growing in technical positions...

That could be answer. They want to know what are your other alternatives in case you do not take up an MBA. Going for an MBA should not be a 'last resort'.

I understand that this question has been answered again and again but I would just like to confirm. I would be really grateful if the seniors could explain this once again. In the Employment Details Section, I understand that the internship taken as a mandatory part of the curriculum cannot be included in the table. But doesn't the line 'Do not include training or project done as part of curricular requirement' apply to the questions below the table which talk about leadership and team work in professional career too? Because the seniors have been suggesting to include internship experience, if needed, in this so just want to know if I should include it or leave it since internship was undertaken as mandatory part of curriculum. Would it lead to a problem if we include it and later on, they say that it was not to be included and might lead to disqualification or something?? Sorry to be asking this again.. and thanks in advance..

As mentioned earlier, no, you shall not be disqualified.

You cannot mention part time or internship experience in the employment details.

However, to answer some of the questions, you can draw from you internship experience. However, this is not mandatory.

Can we expect few more calls for GDPI. I missed the call by 0.5 index score(SC category).

As clearly mentioned on the website, please keep checking the website till 9th february.

We cannot say for sure if more calls will be given.

Sorry, a text file is not certified by your college. Hence, they might not accept it. Why not try getting a consolidated marksheet for all your semesters marks?
