    Hey puys.......

Surprise to see no thread on actuarial science so starting one right now.
    For newbies,something abt actuarial science....
Actuary is one of the most respected field in the world and now gaining ground rapidly in India.Actuaries add value by enabling businesses and individuals to make better informed decisions, with a clearer view of the likely range of financial outcomes from different future events....basically a finance field
actuaries are the highest paid professionals in the world,a freshly qualified actuary is likely to receive an average pay of around $100 thousand per annum in UK/USA and Rs. 18 lacs in India. As a trainee the students can expect their stipend to start at Rs.50,000 per month in India.
A degree in actuarial science provides a zero unemployment profession.
The fact of how difficult it is to be an actuary(FASI) is explained that there are only around 132 actuaries in India since 1944.
To get more info, visit www.actuariesindia.org official website of the actuarial society of India which awards the FASI degree.
Eligibility to become a student of ASI is just 12th pass with min 85% or above in maths.....
So anyone in this field or planning to get in,pls post....
