That argument is a little difficult to believe, considering that there are colleges like IMT-G, TAPMI etc which are better brand names than GIM (IMT-G is definitely a bigger name whereas TAPMI is at par if not better) where the waitlists have moved rather swiftly in the last three weeks.

Well as my colleagues have repeatedly told , please no comparisons on PG thread. As might be, pointed in post above, may be reasons for slow movement but speculation at this point will not help. We understand your concerns, but waitlist movement at GIM has been more transparent than previous years.
We can only request you to have patience and avoid cluttering the thread with non-essential comments.

Send a mail again if you not got a response yet? btw when did you send your withdrawal mail? have you followed the correct format and mail id?? check jatin's post a couple of pages back.

2.The college decides, I m not sure how much money will be deducted.But yeah it will be more than 1000 as the classes commence after 10th .

I remember reading it somewhere that if someone cancels his/her seat on or after 10th June, then fees wont be refunded. only the caution money/library deposit,i guess comes to around 5-6k ,will be given back.
Last year i remember a case of one student who had left in start of the 1st term , He received somewer in that range.

College will send a mail asking your details and all.After your give them the bank details, they will refund the amount.
But in some cases college has sent back the DD, I am not sure about this process so let someone else comment.

Anyways dont worry, college will contact you in any case before refunding your amount.

I have not applied for refund n wont apply for it. (I am an optimistic and I love my 1000 bucks ).

To repeat my question "When can I expect the 50k I deposited wid GIM back in my account in case the institute is not able to offer me a seat in 2011."

Hope it makes my query a bit more clear.

For all such cases, the refund will start after 10th June only, in case not confirmed. the process may take upto or more than couple of weeks.

Hi Seniors,

Can anybody check up on the refund of 50K. I have sent two mails one on the 4th of May and another on the 14th of May , yet there has been no reply. Plus the landline nos given are just dummy nos i guess. Nobody is bothered to receive them ever. Must have tried calling at least 50 times but no feedback as such.

I request somebody to kindly do the follow up with accounts section on my behalf.

Last year college had offered a Laptop deal but since the requisite minimum of people opting for it was not reached the offer was withdrawn. Considering the same many people dont go for college deal, college this year has not offered it. SO better arrange for it. However there campus agreement for Original OS & Microsoft Office. Do check google group or FB discussions for more insight on the deal.

Hi, does anyone know what is the date of joining foundation course? I know it was 10th June earlier but lately heard someone saying that it is now 13th June. Please clarify so that I can modify my travel plans.

@ankita019 - Foundation course starts from 13th June, but u need to be present in campus on 10th June. Your registration and room allocation will take place the same day. Next day you all will be having a simple test for foundation course allocation and i guess a welcome speech from director. There may be other things lined. But its compulsory for all to be present on 10th june, by 9:00 am. if you are in confirmed list join the FB group.links in previous posts.

Liba seems to have really picked up. An above average placements for this season for sure

8.2 Lacs is pretty good for such a less fees...thats more than even GIM
