ATB to call getters. Start with GD/PI prep as early as possible. Prepare well on HR questions. Think/cook up lots of instances from your life to support your answers. Engg guys brush up on basic concepts so you don't face the usual music of not having learnt anything in your 4 years.

Hy guys.. Seeing your enthusiasm and tension reminds me of last year when i badly wanted a good score in CET and make it to the best colleges. I hope you guys are thinking about GD/PI preparation. GD/PI is one area where good prep can definitely fetch you 34/34. SO get cracking on it. Also pray that your Gd doesn't turn chaotic. Choosing a smaller centre is a good idea if you can defend your choice of the centre. I would strongly advise you to wear full formals including blazer as same panel is not there for GD/PI so a good performance in one does not imply a good performance in the other. Its very imp to come across as a serious candidate.

Hy guys.. IIFT GD/PI would be one of the most most unique one's in MBA admission season. We had a topic "Contract Farming and pros-cons". After we gave GAS one by one the profs mentioned that they had jus completed a project on it. Then during the GD people were scared to talk too much because of the profs :)

Well guys all the best for XIME. Had attended two years back. They seem to give considerable weightage to the XAT scores. One great thing about XIME is its location and it isn't too far from the malls as well. ALso the director is taking a lot of initiatices to improve its standings. I believe they have also had some great speakers taking Guest Lectures there. And ofcourse the campu is pretty good. Expect discipline requirements to be high though with a bit of relaxtion for people wid good GPAs. Fees wise to i believe its a pretty decent deal. The CQ (Chick Quotient is pretty high though.

I don't know, somehow the setting of an FMS interview was quiet unsettling for me. I fumbled on what were pretty basic fin questions. Guys with Bcom or interestd in MBA Fin please brush up on fin/eco questions on Basel II, repo rate,inflation, etc.

My GD was really bad. I have a theory that when u have a lo of good candidates and they are given an easy topic, more often than not its not gonna be a great GD. Again this is only a theory. But one tactic u could use in such a case is not speak much during the GD. Watch the clock and be the first to start the summary and do a great job of summarizing.

Needless to say, I'm more of the learn from my mistakes type :)

Guys XL interview is one of the most enjoyable in the MBA admission season. Rest assured they will definitely give you more than enough of a chance to prove yourselves, with their insightful and probing questions. People with good acads need to be ready for lots of conceptual questions. One of my friends was asked wheter she supported abortion or not. She said she didn't. Later on she remembered that it was run by fathers. She didn't get in which is why im mentioning this. But don't read too much into this.
