I didn't defend anything that IMT has done, i am just sick of people stating the same facts, which has been probably stated a zillion times on this thread (placements, huge batch size, non-transparent admission process etc etc). I can't defend the indefensible, and it's out for everyone to see.

And rest of my post was in reply to previous demenaing posts about IMT on this thread. Pls go through them, and decide for yourself, what is more offensive and illogical !

Although, in hindsight, i could have restrained myself from making it so blunt. But, anyways, i am withdrawing from this arguement ! By all means, go ahead, and find your "new & useful info" on this thread & make a life changing decision. All the best !

Don't you think, someone who is has committed to join the college and pay 12 odd lacs as fees, would have already done some basic research about the institute on his own and come across all this "information". I hate these ill-informed douchebags, who judge colleges only on the basis of average salaries and then come out and spread their vile opinions, just to bring down an institute for whatever personal motives. Agreed, there are lots of issues at IMT, but i have choose to live with it, and do my best to beat those odd's.

Now the above comment is both offensive and logically incorrect.

1) Get new facts ? : Anyone who is posting realted information is bringing something that is new to him/her. Someone did not opt for hyderabad/Nagpur/DCP and got it , that is new . DOes not happen in other colleges. I f he wants to point it out what is wrong with that ? Mereley someone else posting the problem before him doesnot means that the problem ends there.

2) "pay 12 odd lacs as fees, would have already done some basic research" : How do you do a basic research for selecting a college ? A very good way is to go through the admission threads on PG of last year . It helps not only in getting an idea of ranks/cutoffs but also comments from seniors on what to expect from the college. Second step would be to contact some seniors personally. Now if someone ios posting a valid problem/issue with the institute , what is wrong with that ? Some people might have other options rather than just IMT . the new information might help them in making an informed decision . What is your problem with that ? Not everyone has the same zeal for th institute as you might have.

3)"ill-informed douchebags, who judge colleges only on the basis of avarage salaries " : Then I guess every placement report authors are 'douchebags ' . Face the facts , a major factor in judjing a B School is the salary expected after MBA . Most of the people opting for MBA have a stable career and need to know whether the finances before/and after MBA makes sennse for them . You might be the exception , and are definately not the rule when comes to average salaries.

4) "but i have choose to live with it," : Good for you . Others may not . Let them judge for themselves.

Please stop defending the B School you are going to with such an overzealous enthusiasm. On the forums you are very close to coming across as the paid social media personnel that IMT had hired to protect its repo when the DCP fiasco happened.

Received the weirdest mail today. You have been selected for the Dual country program . I am 200% sure that I did not check for DCP program or any other campus except Ghaziabad. Firstly not telling the ranks/waitlists and then this .

I feel sorry for the college , trying all the dirty tricks to lure students. What kind of ethics will such a college impart , when the administration is showing such an unethical behavior ?

Guess the IMT name that was once comparable to IIM's has long gone .

I am confused with the placement reports of DOMS. When calculating the figure as quoted , what component of salary are included and excluded ? Do you have any info regarding this ?

A little off topic question here :
Can anyone tell how many total calls have been issued in the general category ? Also is the shortlist criteria only 97 + percentile or some profile calls have also been made ?
