candidates selected from december mat will get pgdm equivallent to mba and it will be approved by association of indian universities(AIU) and they can pursue ph.d later on. the names of these candidates would always appear on the maine website of jims and there trimester results will also be declared on the notice board as well as on website...
BUT
candidates selected from feb mat will be awarded pgdm, aicte approved but not AIU approved pgdm, that means they might not pursue ph.d later on.
there names will also not appear on website.
is this true?

some rumours do float aroun.. wen i was in first trimester one rumour was floatin aroun dat only 120 students will have aicte approved diploma n d guys in SEC-C will get non aicte Approved diploma.... so deze rmours do float aroun.... not to worry abt deze things.... dey are all for tympass.. sum guyz do it just for fun....

well,u will get into pgdm... i was also last year waitlisted... quite a few guyz will clear waitn list of CAT colleges n will leave, so dunt worry .... infact i got a call in mid-june...

Christ is deemed university under section 3 and not pvt.

Also the case u r talkin or referring about was due to mismanagement (late reply of karnataka government to UGC) and was resolved after some time.

dude, i m not an aspirant n please do hv some manners before talkin to seniors n regardin univ status,christ as of present does not have a univ status.. however, i still say dat christ is one f d best colleges under MAT..

all those univs who r deemed to be univ are not full fledged univs.. keep dat thing in mind..... n please do learn some manners.... we guys hv already taken admission last year its just dat we gained a lot from pagalguy so we r still dere to help....:grin:

Dude christ is the best college i would recommend you through MAT both in terms of Placement and studies..

Christ is UGC recognised ..stop spreading wrong words about it..

as a second year student u should know d diffrence between full fledged private univ n deemed to be univ..... christ was one of d 44 univ who got derecognised in jan, 2010 followin supreme court order... as of now dey are under watch for 3 years. exact things will be clear on jan 2013. at present dey are not full univs lyk amity/lpu..

if anyone of you need to choose between these two which one you would have chosen.

retail is a subset of marketing, if u r taking a specific course in marketin den it will cover 1-2 subjects on retail... so better go for marketin........

p,S->> thanks to stupid people lyk momota boonoorjee dere won't be any reforms in next 2 years, so FDI in retail is also not goin to come soon....
so better go for marketin as it includes many oder options.......

How's IBA (banglore and greater noida)?
Is it comparable to ITM?

ITM is d best collg one can get in thru MAT.. although christ is equally gud but it being not UGC RECOGNISED, so i dunt recommend christ... IBA is not even in top 10 ( forget even comparing it wid ITM..)....

never go for a colg, go for a course ur course is goin to be wid u for ur whole lyf. if u r 100% sure of makin a career in retail den go for bimtech... or else prefer PGDM gen... try to find out more abt retail industry n its prospects,,, lyk wat one has to do as a MBA retail... dis will make ur job easier...... colg brand name is imp but course is more imp.... in PGDM u have one full year to decide ur specialization.. so u can think durin dat tym... dat option is not dere in retail.....

last year quite a few students cancelled deir admissions wen dey cleared waitin list of cat colleges..infact i got admission only against cancellation of seats in june 2011.... so i dunt think dere should be any prob in refunds.. dey will cut small amount as per AICTE rules...
