I still think that the placements for the first batch are really appreciable. (few still in progress)
Those who don't think so, i would be needing why they don't and what they think should be.
I know you might have differences in opinion which surely are welcomed, but then there is not point comparing DTU with IIMs or somewhere close.
By this I am not saying we wont compete with them.
ITS FOR A SIMPLE FACT that i see it happening only with time to come, not someone who comes with a magic wand in hand and a "mantra" on lips and accio IIM Placements and woosh we are there :)
So in the end we need good people with clear goals to join. Hope they work hard. Try and achieve small small goals and hope we will be force to reckon in 2 years to come.

To be honest in the list we have companies which did not take even one person. But that doesn't mean they haven't visited. :).
But i still think the placements are going to improve rapidly with each passing year if we have more and more working hands :).
We dreamt of seeing DSM in top 30-40 B Schools in India by the time we pass out and i think we are in the right direction.
I hope that there are no more absurd discussions ... which company came which in pipeline coz i really have to study. (which i cudn't coz being in the Placement Committee i have to be here and there and here lol)
I hope you wish me, us all the best for exams and i would be visiting here once a day for sure but keep ur patience intact :)

i wish all the very bst to all the seniors..who were always thr 4 us...thnk u so much...nd as far as placements r concerened i thnk DSM is doing quite good..as we all knw tht the cutoff of the 2009-11 batch ws nt vry high(being the 1st batch)..bt evn thn 70%of studnts hv already been placed tht too at an avg package af more thn 5.5lacs...
so tht is not bad at all....nd DSM will improve a lot in the yrs to come...as we see ths yr cut off has gone high..nd so is the quality of students at DSM...nd i thnk we ll see gr8 placements figures in the near future..:cheerio:
me at 91.23%ile (wid sm othr converts as well) is joining the DSM nd is really excited 4 the same..hope to see all u guys at DSM..:cheerio:
