Most of the senior batch students are staying out of campus for their internship, hence it is not possible for us to coordinate with the admissions team. Like your peers, keep trying on the contact nos. provided, you will get through.

Accommodation in campus will only be provided to the student , in case you need to book accommodation for your parents, refer to the FAQ document, it contains some of the hotels nearby, which will be providing institutional IMT discount during the stay.

2nd Query: There is no criteria for choosing minors, the option is given at the end of the year and regardless of your major spec, you can choose electives from any spec (maximum of 6) for 2nd year. Total electives studied throughout the 2nd year is 17 (in case of our batch), our of which two are compulsory, rest of out 15 you can choose all of them from your spec (or minimum of 6) and max of 6 of another spec. You can even choose two specs as minor.Example: Some students pursuing marketing have taken operations and IT as minors. Rest will be clear once you are in campus and get a hang of how the process works here.

2nd query: You can pay the fee both ways, i would suggest you to pay it in person if you can as you will get the confirmation there and then, in case of the courier you will have to wait for the official mail from the college as an acknowledgement.

Can any senior take up this issue with the Admin?

Please understand that the procedure takes time, if a person pays the fees on saturday, expecting a reply on monday is too soon...People who have earlier paid the fees received an acknowledgment only a few days later. Still if you guys want, you can call up the admissions dept and inquire about the acknowledgement.

However, your admission is confirmed as long as you have made the payment successfully from your end before the stipulated time.

Today I got a mail that I converted IMT-G (DCP). I never had selected IMT-G(DCP) in my choices still I have been selected for that. It doesn't make any sense to me. Is there any chance that I can get a call from IMT-G in coming days as when I check in the results page it says to check after 20th May.

Kindly let me know as I dont intend to join IMT-G(DCP) and have to pay the first installment of TAPMI this week.

Yes you can join the campus anytime after 13 June, all you have to do is write a mail to imtg.sac with details of your arrival if you intend to report before 20th June.

Second Query: Call up the admissions office to confirm the status of your admission. If you have been selected for the DCP prog., then you are of out contention for the other ones.

Regarding stream specific information, join the FB page as we have some alumni across all streams there who can guide you better.

Regarding the payment of the DD, yes you will receive a notification in the form of an SMS from the institute, however you can also call the admissions dept to confirm the same. Just mention your IMT application number.

I have made the transaction of the first installment fees through NEFT. But haven't got any confirmation from the institute. Though from my bank I have got the confirmation that the transaction has been done. Please let know when am I supposed to get the confirmation from the institute about the transaction and successful seat booking so that I could resign from my current company. The moment you pay the fees, your admission gets confirmed. Since you have paid the fee through NEFT, follow the instructions below:

Students paying through RTGS should send their particulars (Transaction No, Remitters No., Bank Name and scanned copy of Offer Letter) through email to admissions@imt.edu and nkumar@imt.edu , also courier a hard copy to the Admissions Office, the address of which is mentioned in the offer letter.

Once the fees is credited to the institiute's bank account, the student will recieve an alert via SMS on the mobile number provided in the admission form confirming the same.You will receive a hard copy of the admission letter within a week to 10 days. As far as your resignation is concerned, registration is on the 20th of June, orientation week starts from 21st, so you can resign accordingly.

I have a query here. My graduation percentage is an absolutely pathetic 58%
Just wanted some info on the general criteria of the companies which companies set for placements. Do most of the companies set a criteria for past graduation marks ? Or do they only look at the GPA at IMT? :lookround:

You need not worry about the low percentage. Criteria for selection differs from company to company...while for summers it generally depends upon the past academics, for finals the company looks at the over-all profile of the student. You can enhance your profile by participating in events and other extra curricular activities. there have been many students in my batch with a low graduation percentage, yet they are interning at some really big companies.

Sorry, but you are out of contention for IMT G. You can only confirm the admission offer at IMT Nagpur by paying the fee on or before the stipulated time.

You have already been offered a provisional seat at IMT G, as stated on the message on the website. As soon as you pay the fee on or before the last date of payment, you accept the admission offer and your seat is then confirmed. As far as an intimation is concerned, you will soon receive an SMS on the registered mobile number confirming the payment. Also, the offer letter will reach to you soon.
