The short list says that an interview form needs to be filled and sent to IIMI. Is the form available already? Also, can some seniors share what information was supposed to be filled in the form last year. It might be on a similar pattern this year as well.

My query is that In my 10th class marksheet and Pass Certificate (ICSE Board) it is clearly mentioned that no divisions are awarded.
But while filling up the details its asking us our 10th standard Division....Kindly Guyz help me out as to what to fill.....My 10th % is 90.3%

I don't think that mentioning the division is mandatory. The marks need to be mentioned though. BTW did you enter the best of 5 for 10th? I am in a real fix as I had mentioned best of 5 for 10th and best of 4 for 12 (ICSE and ISC respectively), and it appears as if there is no option to change that now.

Looking at IIMB's admission criteria, and looking at the profile of some people here who have got calls (no offence), I was just wondering how I did not receive a call. My profile:

Overall: 99.94
QA: 98.81
DI: 99.27
Verbal: 99.61

Acads:
Class X: 93.4 (CBSE)
Class XII: 91.2 (CBSE)
Graduation: 72.2 (Economics, DU)
Work Ex: 6 months as of Dec 10 (Google)

Could seniors shed some light as to why I might not have got a call?

I am assuming its because of CBSE where above 90 is not good enough combined with 6 months work ex.

The site has a bug. If you enter your SR as sr12345678, it will display that you have not been shortlisted irrespective of the fact whether you have been shortlisted for PI or not. You need to try with SR12345678 (SR should be in capital). Maybe you've also been hit by this issue. Please recheck.

My Bad sorry. However, the four options now become -:

13C1*39C3 + 13C2*39C2 + 13C3 * 39C1 + 13C4.

Would it be correct now?

Total ways of selecting 4 cards = 52C4
Total ways of selecting no diamond card = 39C4

Ans= 52C4-39C4

Would it be wrong to think of it in the following 4 cases -:
i) 1 Diamond card and 3 from others = 12C1 * 40C3
ii) 2 Diamond and 2 from others = 12C2 * 40C2
iii) 3 Diamond and 1 from remaining cards = 12C3 * 40C1
iv) All diamonds = 12C4

Why is the sum of the above 4 cases not the answer. I am a little weak at P&C; and hence any help will be greatly appreciated.

First of all thanks to all the SPJ guys for clarifying our queries.

My queries are -:
I was ranked in the 40's in a batch of 120 in the first year. But, now at the end of 3rd year, I am in the top10 and have also received a scholarship for coming coming in top 5 in 3rd, 4th and 5th semester. Can this be stated as an achievement (I have my grade cards and the certificate that was given with the scholarship)? If so, then would it be better to file it under academic achievements or under achievements? Which would give the maximum benefit?

Do we need to *strictly* adhere to the given word limit of 150 words or can it be extended to 170 -180 ?

Can the selection into a reputed research group having members like IISc, IITs and IIITs and funded by MCIT, GoI be treated as an achievement (I have the certi from my supervisor)?
