Hmm Liquid poison,
How do you measure the worth of your MBA?
Is it your ticket to a INSURED better placement ????
than this is not the time for you.
but if u view your MBA as that perspective altering experience, where knowledge enriches your
wisdom. anytime is a good time to get into studies.
regarding job market. i am sure the worst is behind us--The IT sector too will revive in an years time.
the core economy will be up and running for sure. But jobs after 1 year is sure a risk- do consider it but dont overvalue it too- no risk no gain.
so do consider your call in the right sense- it is a rare opportunity.
regarding your estimate of calibre of batch :)
take an informed decision...
the batch has 5 docs( 2 surgeons- 12+ experience & one doc from Indian army), Consultants , 2 guys from oil and gas and drilling sector, Marketing and sales managers from top consumer MNC's. an architect, a civil engineer , Telecom professionals , hordes of IT professionals- of different past roles. couple of guys chucking there US jobs to take up XLRI.an investment banker,a person front the shipping sector.A guy even from internet marketing and gaming company.many more whom i dont recollect.
average experience of 65 know students is 7.8 years:average international experience is 15.7 months.
some batch diversity!!
and with a total intake of 120 students( a class of 60 students each- we will get direct attention from the profs)
So friend liquid poison.
consider the call with a right and positive perspective. It is of more value than people initially guess.
hope that helps.
Regards
Sunil
