I will have 2 yrs work ex in IT consulting (Deloitte Hyderabad) by this June end. Profile is 10th 94.4% 12th 91.6% engg.- 77.3% ..got calls from only IIMK ,new IIMs and FMS this year at 98.99 (first attempt) .. Wasn't really planning to go to K but then with my profile I can't virtually make it to A and B. Moreover, if I take another attempt for instis like C,L,FMS,XL this year, i would have 3 yrs work ex in IT consulting by next year , so is it better to join this year with 2 yrs work ex or is 3 yrs work ex in IT still ok to get into the better instis? Would 3 yrs work ex put me at a disadvantage during placements?? Need to decide really soon. Please help.

Hey guys, was wondering if I could get some of your thoughts! Converted IIMK, thinking about attempting CAT again. Have good grades in school and GPA of 7.4 from NIT (did BTech). Right now working in a consulting firm (completed 1 year) doing analytics (not IT consulting). I'm not sure about the consulting scene in K, have heard varied opinions. I would like to continue in the same industry.

I think its the K-experience in general that makes it a good enough option :a certain coolness quotient, the awesomely beautiful campus (I have seen better sunrises and sunsets at IIMK than anywhere else, kanyakumari's sunset point is a sham) and lots more …in fact as far as the experience and the education goes, it is at par with the very best of this country…

I guess this somewhat translates into a great deal of satisfaction and loyalty, which placement figures etc cannot capture.....we at k are extremely passionate about our college…and i guess the success chances increases with passionate students
