CFA Institute requires that your identification (ID) meet all of the criteria listed below in order to be admitted into the testing room. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Your ID must:
1. be current and validit cannot be expired;
2. contain your photo;
3. be issued by a government agency; and
4. be a single document (NOT a combination of two or more pieces of identification, such as an expired photo driver's license with a separate renewal certificate).
The preferred form of identification for the CFA examinations is a valid passport; however, if you not do have a passport we encourage you to use one of the following:

1. Driving license,
   
2. Permanent Account Number Card,
   
3. Election Commission of India Identity Card (Voter's Identity Card).

CFA Institute recommends that you check the expiration on your ID. If it expires before your examination date, you should get it renewed now. Photocopies of identification documents will not be accepted.

The following items MUST be kept on your desk during the examination:

Examination Admission Ticket.
-Current government-issued photo identification.
-Approved calculator(s), including calculator case(s).
-Writing instruments (pencils for Levels I and II, pens and pencils for Level III).
The following items MAY be kept on your desk, if needed:
-Erasers, calculator batteries (and screwdriver for battery replacement), pencil sharpeners (no knives), eyeglasses, earplugs, and wristwatches without engaged audible alarms or audible timers.
The following items are permitted in the testing room but must remain in your pockets or under your chair when not in use:
-Your wallet (money purse).
-Medicine, tissues, and other necessary medical or personal items.
The following items ARE NOT PERMITTED in the testing room:
-Food or drinks.
-Baggage of any kind including transparent bags, backpacks, handbags, tote bags, briefcases, luggage, carrying cases, or pencil cases.
-Study materials including notes, papers, textbooks, or study guides.
-Scratch paper, present/future value tables, or calculator manuals.
-Highlighters, correction fluid, correction tape, or rulers.
-Knives of any type, including box cutter and X-ACTO knives for use as pencil sharpeners.
-Cellular telephones, cameras, pagers, headsets, computers, electronic organizers, personal data assistants, or any other remote communication or photographic devices.
-Wristwatches with engaged audible alarms/timers or any type of desk clock/timer.


EXAM DAY
There are two sessions of the examination: Morning Session 9:00AM12:00PM; Afternoon Session 2:00PM5:00PM. You must attend both sessions or your examination will not be graded and you will not receive results. You should report to the test center one hour before each session. Instructions will be read before the examination begins and are not repeated for candidates who arrive late. Candidates will not be admitted into the testing room while the instructions are being announced. At the conclusion of each examination session, candidates must remain seated until all exam materials are collected and reconciled. Due to enhanced exam security, this process may require candidates to remain seated for additional time after the 12:00PM and 5:00PM ending times.
PROHIBITION ON CELL PHONES IN TESTING ROOMS
Cellular telephones cause distractions and can be used to cheat. Cell phones are now used by students around the world to gain unfair advantages on other examinations through text messaging and cameras. For these reasons, cell phones are not permitted in the testing room. Any cell phone found in a testing room will be confiscated and an incident report will be provided to the CFA Institute Professional Conduct Program.

You must not: bring anything that is not permitted by the personal belongings policy into the testing room; write on your examination ticket before or during the examination; speak to anyone other than a proctor during the examinations; glance or look at another candidate's examination or give the appearance of doing so; continue to write or erase after time is called; leave the testing room during the final 30 minutes of the examinations except for brief restroom breaks; exit and re-enter the building during the examinations (except during the lunch break).
You must: give your exam materials and photo ID to the proctor prior to leaving the testing room for brief restroom breaks; remain seated at the conclusion of the examinations until all materials have been collected and reconciled.

hey guys,

i've just hopped onto the bandwagon... just wanted to know if anybody's there in n around Calcutta oops Kolkata to share the CFA material, the one recommended by the CFA institute ? i'm planning to appear in the December06 exam and so only the 06 material would do...

also wanted to know whether it would be prudent to go for Dec06 exam considering the fact that these guys (CFA INSTITUTE)usually change the curicullum on an annual basis... so neone plz tell me whether someone appearing for the dec exam is at a disadvantage or not ?
