Bus Service for new students

Last year we have to made draft in favor of The Director, IIT Delhi (Name of allotted hostel) Hostel.....for e.g. if my hostel is kumaon thn my draft will be "The Director, IIT Delhi Kumaon Hostel"

I am not sure for Girnar hostel, as this is newly constructed hostel so for its residents mess may be in some other hostel so draft might be different.

Guys any news on the HOSTEL allocation man .. we all need to make DDs yaar...called 3 times ... evry time DMS people say they are about to load ..any Info.. ???

Hostel allotment is done by central IIT, not by DMS.....please keep eye on :::Indian Institute of Technology Delhi :::

"The assignment must be submitted latest by the given deadline only in .pdf format to admissions2010@dmsiitd.org. All files should be first converted to .pdf and compressed to a zipped folder."


Friends are we supposed to convert even the POWERPOINT PRESENTATION (Question 4 Part A) into a static PDF file....

and what about Question 6 Part A....if we decide to send a video...then what are we supposed to do...

they sure want nothing but (dot)-PDFs.......
i could not find any helpline number also...
pour in ur inputs friends...

You can send ppt and video....for all other ques please convert word document into pdf and send.

Yes we do organise such type of interaction between incoming batch and seniors...there will be separate formal meet with Faculty. Once you will join you will get all details.

Infact during GD PI as well we went to each hostel and met with candidates.

It is nice to see such an enthusiastic junior batch. Guys you people will be joining DMS soon and it is really good that you people have started sharing info with each other. I also suggest you to revive the Life@DMS thread and post such links in both the threads.

All of us are very busy with our internships and thats y sometimes we are late in replying. Regarding waitlist movement I right now have no info, will update you soon.....but as per my knowledge next waitlist is only released after next due date of fee submission (and of course if seats are vacant)

It is clearly mentioned that
"the process saw several PSUs/PSBs such as SBI, BHEL, Shipping Corporation of India, Bank of India offering distinguished profiles"

Also, senios at all the IIT's told us that PSU's offer the same profile and salary package at IIT's as they do it at IIM's - this is because of some govt. regulation to treat IIT and IIM as institutions of same repute.
So if PSU is yr aim, u r in correct place. :)

Yes many PSUs come here as mentioned in the report and they offer quite good profile. Like other companies each has its own policy and after implementation of 6th pay commission salaries hv become quite good.

i m also having same concern...this is new policy introduced in the cmpny and many employees has taken this..only concern is from iit delhi ppl that they accept this and this i guess only seniors can confirm..

And one thing is for sure that by this policy i have an option to join the company again but if i get another good opportunity i can get out and process is very smooth..jst a mail is required..

I think if you take sabbatical then company doesnt provide u with work ex and relieving letter certificate, becoz in company payroll u will be an employee. First confirm this from your HR dept thn only proceed for taking such type of decision. I am not sure abt the college policy regarding this, i will confirm and let u knw but first confirm from ur HR
