Hi Sharat and Sumit,

I called up Admission Office and they advised me to reach my 21st and hand over the draft to them. I asked if it was required for me to reach on 21st only. They said "it's not required but why would you take a risk if draft doesn't reach there".

Actually I've booked the tickets for Lucknow for 22nd night and for some reasons it'd not be possible for me to reach there on 21st. What are you people doing regarding draft? And yes what about the medical certificate? There is no mention of it.

Guys I called up the adm office couple of min back .. was told that the offer letter would be sent today itself around 7-7:30 types.

I emphasized the to the person to tell me whether there was still any doubt remaining on the W/L clearance and he categorically told me that the offer letter would definetly be sent to me. I told him that I had relinquished another B-School's seat to take up L's offer and he told me not to worry.

So, we should be hearing from them shortly I hope.

Finally got the letter! Huh!!

I don't understand this - today morning I was told that the letters would be scanned and sent before noon and now this ...?? How can a confirmed and committed offer become undecided in a matter of few hours !

I'd just posted my discussion on calls above. I've called them twice in a space of 15 minutes. Could you please also follow up, calling them at around 6:30 may be?

Called up IIML Adm Office a li'l while back. Person there says that "aapko bola gaya tha letter bheja jaayega but bheja nahin gaya to it means abhi confirm nahin hua hai!!!! Abhi meeting chal rahi hai and after that the decision would be taken"

Then I again called up at the same no. from which I got call on friday. This time a li'l positive answer was given. I was told that some meeting is going on (discussion about some withdrawal and OBC cases) and I was advised to wait for half an hour to after which we can expect something. But even on this call the person was non-committal. Bad :unhappy:!

of course there is movement, me being one of don't know how many to have withdrawn admission after last movement. I know one more guy who PMmed me asking for withdrawal procedure..

I think it's pretty clear now that IIML has kept enough buffer for the withdrawals from initial offers (as well from the offers made while waitlist movements).

So basically whenever the number of withdrawals would be greater than the number of buffer calls they've kept only then we can expect further waitlist movement. It seems they desperately want to minimize the waitlist movement in last couple of weeks due to which they've kept more buffer then they've done in last couple of years.

Adm Office feels that they'd get a clear picture of no. of withdrawals only on last day, and buffer would not be surpassed before that. That's why they are giving the date of 16th.

In such a scenario, total number of acceptances can very easily be total number of seats + or - 10. I dearly wish that it's total number of seats - 10!!

Yes, i reached safe... First of all sorry for being late here.. we did not have access to cc yesterday. I had been to admissions office on 04th and asked about the waitlist movement. Without hesitating, he adviced me not to have any hope on further waitlist movement. I asked him about the possible w/l movement after withdrawals... He replied back "Kucch nahi hoga..." and i asked if buffer calls had been made for expected number of withdrawals also.. He said something here in hindi which i could not understand... But the message he was trying to convey was clear... at 36 i had no chance... :dontgeti:

Will try and meet the person again after 2 days and check if any info on withdrawals is available.. :tellme:

That's pretty sad and shocking to hear :nervous:! I won't be able to digest that I was left stranded waiting at 29 when waitlist moved till 25.

Can anybody pls say how many candidates have been waitlisted by IIML??
I am waitlisted at # 81..

IIML has waitlisted 200 odd people this year. Last year after initial movement upto 25, finally the waitlist got clear upto 85. I'm waitlisted at 29 (fingers crossed!!)
